Afraid to mod this multiplayer game
Hi,

Ideally I would like to install nude mods on this game. However, it is a multiplayer game and I don't want to be VAC banned or banned from the game itself. Can anyone tell me if there's something I need to do after installing mods like not choose a certain mode or disable online or something? I know Red Dead 2 is similar with mods being no problem for the single player. Thank you.

Even if I just have cosmetic mods installed and no mods that give me an advantage or anything that changes gameplay, will I still get banned for using mods? And what if I want to switch to online some day; will I have to remove my mods? Thank you

Using any mod will get you banned if you play online.

In essence, yes. Tho if you use mod engine 2, you'll automatically launch in offline with the mods on, and launching the game with the normal launcher will launch it with the mods off. There's also seamless if you want to get technical with it.

Thank you for your reply. If I do decide to mod, I will look into that mod engine 2 manager. The risk still makes me a little nervous though so I will probably stick to my modded single player Bethesda games as for modding

Ok but I just want to clarify, what do you mean when you say this is a multiplayer game? Imo its more of a single player game with coop features.

Yes you're right, it only has coop features, I have only played 30 minutes TBH but I saw I could see other players' messages and blood stains. Obviously there are servers that I am connecting to when I play, so I immediately became weary at the idea of installing mods. Game is super fun from the first 30 minutes I played BTW.

Not sure myself. The majority of my elden playthrough has been offline, only going online to get something I missed on my 1st playthrough from a friend, and to give something to another friend. Been playing modded offline ever since.

From what I've read from around here getting banned only prevents you from playing online and you can still play offline. Others might have better insight on the matter tho.

If you're not sure, play mods with seamless co-op, that won't let you connect to the official servers at all, but you'll still be able to play with people you share your password with.

What does "A singleplayer game with multiplayer features" even mean lol that's just describing multiplayer.

You're only able to play with people who download Seamless Co-op and share your password with. Seamless Co-op completely removes the multiplayer aspect of the game and turns it into something like Borderlands 2.

How is a nude mod a thing that creates so much concern you need to get further assistance on the matter lol?!

I don't understand the thinking process of some people, ngl
