I'll shut up.
Sorry, mate. Can't say I've ever had that problem.
If it still crashes then open Windows Event Viewer and search for "Elden Ring". Copy and paste the latest crash log in another post.
Still crashing sadly, maybe my save file is corrupted, idk. I even tried to enter and quickly teleport to another area, same problem.
It's most likely a Windows dependency issue or a driver issue.
Update your GPU drivers, or if they are updated, uninstall and reinstall them. Now that I think about it, this did happen to me with AC Origins. Whenever I would dive underwater, the game would crash. Updating my GPU drivers fixed the problem.
I only get to the brige of sacrifice I think was the name? So I can start the game from 0 again, but I'm afraid that this could happen to me at any time and I would lose my progress with 200hs for example.
Do you recommend installing a fresh Windows again, cause I can do it in a few minutes.
Gonna try this, If it doesn't work, I'm going to re install Windows again.
Good luck. PC gaming can sometimes be a hassle.
I reinstalled the GPU drivers (I used DDU uninstaller first) now when I load the game my character doesn't finish getting up and the game crashes again, damn! XD
Your character doesn't even want to play the game today. Okay, try fully uninstalling the game, then redownloading it. Maybe clear all the folders pertaining to Elden Ring from user folders or app data or wherever they're located. Make a backup of your save file if you don't want to lose that.
Trying that rn, next step is a fresh windows install if dosent work, and my last option is create a new savefile, with that vanilla Windows and pray.
Man, I had never played a FromSoftware game and I didn't think it would give me so many headaches.
If it's any consolation, this isn't normal for Fromsoft games on PC. Yours isn't a common case thankfully.
I never used ray tracing in my life, the game is working (for now). I don't know which of all the things I tried worked, but it seems that playing in a borderless window and reinstalling the game by deleting all the folders in %appdata% worked.
Let's see how long it lasts.
Well i dont know if i got insanely lucky or if it actually in most cases is never a hustle.
i started pc gaming in 1994 and so i am gaming for ~ 29 years now
never had any problems ever except for citrix remote software making older Unity games crash. And that was a recent problem in Corona times
Pc gaming overall has been incredible smooth for 29 years
Same here. I've been gaming primarily on PC after migrating from console since 2014 and the only issues I've had were some blue screens on my old laptop. Oh, and occasionally a game was funky and needed some stuff adjusted outside the game itself to work properly.
I'll just say we've been lucky.
