Which is better PS4 or PC?

(Aka I'd save up for a PS5 but current sale is looking really tempting )
Tl;DR:Which is the better choice and value l, PS4 with ps plus or PC version.


Main point is that both versions are on sale, and the PS4 version physical is a lot cheaper. I'm curious if it's a better quality and deal to buy the PS4 version plus the cheapest tier of ps plus for online versus the PC version which I hear still has a myriad of issues (some in part to the anti cheat and no option to use mods yet without bans) and performance problems.

I bought the PS4 when it launched because my old PC couldn't run it. The PS4 is playable but runs like crap compared to the PC version, not to mention that you need PS Plus to to even see other player's messages. After trying the PC version, I can't go back to the PS4 one, it looks so much better, runs at 60 fps and I even installed ReShade to make the game look even better. I've also installed some mods to make some changes here and there that bothered me from the standard version.

Well a friend just gifted me the game via PS4 physical coming in the mail so if I like the game I'll get the PC version and mod it. Just as a question do mods butt heads with the anti cheat often, or can you safely do simple UI or QOL with minimal issues? I have no issues with owning multiple platforms for a game (own Okami on just about every platform) and I could have one platform for online and one for offline play (especially because my Internet provider can have week long outages).

If you have a good PC it's going to be better to play on that - as you'll always have access to it. Although PC has it's problems that consoles can mitigate - they have became one and done devices - you'll be spending more money on consoles just to be able to go back and play old games from the past where here you just click a download button.

If this was 20 years ago I'd say console - Today not chance.

I believe you cannot play online if you use any mods, but you can turn them off whenever you want to go online.

PS4 doesn't have 60 fps, so I set it to 60 fps as an argument in favor of PC. These are not empty words that 60 fps is better than 30.

most pvp scene is happening on PS4. PC is dead for pvp and only has few co-opers.

I actually have Elden Ring on playstation too. But PC is way better ofc
