How do I dodge this unfair attack.

The dragons head is a weakspot. The damage is so significant that it is very clear that fromsoft intended you to attack his head. The issue with that is this attack. The AOE is huge and you can't roll through it, or use a horse to avoid it in my situation. What is the intended method for dodging the dragon reskin fire breath attack? It's not like midir where it's well designed and gives you time to avoid it on ground.

Am I meant to just not attack his head? Please help.

When a dragon breathes fire while flying, they always aim to their left. In other words go the opposite direction you went in the video next time.

This is a direct recommendation from me, but attack the dragon's wings and legs. Yes, the head is its weak spot, but it's also much more dangerous to attack. I only attack the head when the opportunity arises. Otherwise I focus on legs and wings the entire time.

By running towards the dragon instead of away from it. Only breath attack you can run away from with torrent is the sweeping one it does on the ground.

You need to stand in front of the head and only hit the head. When you get under his stomach, his attacks are different.

I have 700 hours. Just never managed to figure out how to dodge this dragons breath attack.

why are you even bothering with the head? the legs( though less damage) have significantly less aim assist on their attacks and a nice long windup for getting away, and of course the dragon fly away form you when it get is AOE nuke attack giving you even more time to boost out.

unless your speed running theirs no intelligent reason to waste time on the head.

The people in this thread gave spot on advice about standing in front of the head. This attack no longer gives me any issue and I can no hit all the dragons now.

I always go for the feet personally despite the camera angle problems I find it the safest way to take them down. They really cant do a lot other than stomp feet or try to fly away when you are always directly under them. But hey, whatever works for you

That's fair. Very few actually. I only resort to melee no more than 30%. All that rolling makes me dizzy, so I'll use a spirit summons and leisurely fire off loretta's bow when I can. They really should nerf that thing.
