Yeah, the issues with ray tracing don't seem to care how powerful your rig is. It's been implemented wrong, and so causes issues. Hopefully turning it off solves yours.
with patch 1.04 and 1.06 they reduced the distance rendering and also some gras animation rendering to reduce some drawing issues ppl reported ( textures and enemies got invinsible for some).
The depth of field effect is only used for the realtime cutscenes. Objects in the distance are blurry due to chromatic aberration which cannot be turned off unless you use a mod.
I am gonna necro this because this is wrong af. Depth of Field is bugged and it will randomly reduce resolution of stuff without reason during normal gameplay. Turn that ♥♥♥♥ off
1. Setting Windows desktop display to native 1080p 144 Hz
2. Enabling the on-screen refresh rate display on my monitor (it has this feature built-in)
3. Running the game in Borderless Window at either 1080p or 1440p with Radeon Virtual Super Resolution (this adds more heat to my room in summer, though)
I use Riva Tuner to monitor my frametimes with a graph, and my monitor shows that indeed my Freesync is functioning because the refresh rate display fluctuates, whereas it is a stable 144 HZ while on the desktop.
