Favorite bosses from each souls game
Happy Friday frens. I know there's a lot of "What is your favorite ER boss" threads, but I would like to know which boss from each From souls game stole your little heart.

Games like DeS, DS, DSII, DSIII, BB, Sek (yes, we're counting sekiro this time), and of course ER.

You don't have to go into deep detail, I'm just curious what the community seems to favor overall. I'll start:

DeS - (Never played :P)

DS - Would have to be Gwyn. Probably just because I love parry punishing him and the soundtrack is *chef's kiss*

DSII - Alonne. He was hard to get a hang of at first, but once I learned the rhythm, he became quite enjoyable and fun to fight against.

DSIII - Prooobably Gael. He felt like a fitting finale to the Dark Souls trilogy imo. Fair but extremely difficult. Always fun to fight.

BB - Gonna give this one to Gascoigne. He was the first roadblock (as inteneded) but the fight itself, Hunter v Hunter, was great. My favorite boss music too.

Sek - Isshin Sword Saint - The ONLY boss in any game that made me scream in victory once I pulled it off, so satisfying

ER - Rykard (mainly for aesthetics and a cool ass cutscene)

I have not played other souls games but for Elden Ring Malenia, Hoarah Loux, and Radagon mainly because of lore.

Des: Never played.

DS1: Artorias.

DS2: I forget his name, but the guy with the big sword at the bottom of the burnt king DLC. Fume Knight. There we go.

DS3: Abyss Watchers.

Sekiro: Genichiro.

Bloodborne: Maria.

Elden Ring: Dariwill, I think he's called.

I like bosses that feel like a dance.

There are bossfights I don't like but honestly I don't have a favourite one among the ones I enjoy, I simply enjoy them

ps. Sekiro isn't a soul XD

DeS: The Storm King
-- Flying Manta Boss, very visually arresting in scale. Fought him without Storm Ruler.

DS1: Ornstein and Smough, Iron Golem and Sif.
-- Incredible final boss for Anor Londo. What an opening.
-- Favorite Boss Theme in Dark Souls. So good they brought it back for DS3.
-- You can show Sif to non-gamers and they know Sif is iconic Dark Souls.

DS2: Looking-glass Knight.
-- The Mirror Knight. Having a real PVP invader break through the glass shield. *Chefs kiss*

DS3: Champion Gundyr, Midir, Gwyn... honestly too many to name.
-- Champion Gundyr's theme by Tsukasa Saitoh is so intense by the end, it just melts me.
-- Midir is the first time I ever felt like I faced an actual Dragon.
-- Fighting Gwyn as a duo is the best dance From Software can offer.

Bloodborne: Gascoigne, Ludwig, Gherman. They're literally all good.
-- This game is honestly their magnum opus. They're all magnificent.
-- Gherman is the only boss to make me tear up while fighting him. Beautiful.

Sekiro: Lady Butterfly, Sword-Saint Isshin.
-- Visually iconic, the dopamine rush for beating her so early is insane.
-- Probably one of the best boss mechanics From Software has ever designed.

Elden Ring: Placidusaxx, and I can't believe I'm saying this. Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
-- Placidusaxx has got to have the best boss arena and intro I've ever seen.
-- Malenia is the only boss in ER that is honestly more fun to fight as a group than solo.

I'm a trash goblin.

Real answer:

DS1: Never had a favorite boss. It was always more about the journey than any single destination.
DS2: Demon of Song--it's hard to explain this one, but it's the only boss I remember genuinely looking forward to fighting.
DS3: Gael / Soul of Cinder
ER: Hoarah Loux

I could unironically see how people favor Midir lol. He's just a boss of telegraphy if anything, but I understand the joke :mimir_wink: I can't put my finger on it, but there's a reason why I really like the Demon of Song as well. Probably lore factors and/or boss design

I think it might have been the first boss fight I really understood. Up until then, boss fights had me being wildly reactive and just hoping to dodge/attack at the right time. For whatever reason, Frog of Croaks taught me how to recognize telegraphs and respond accordingly. There were some pretty neat moments where I would be just out of range of his ground slaps, wait for him to finish, move in and backhand him myself. That approach carried on and allowed me to appreciate boss fights instead of just enduring them.
