And good point from Alby - for mid-level, aim for 30-40 vigor.
Level 50 is low for completing Raya Lucaria, at least compared to where I was when I did it.
If I were you, I would go explore other areas and level up naturally while doing so. You'd be surprised how quickly you gain rune levels by exploring optional areas, like the underground zones.
Yh i dont know, i killed renala in about 15 swings, dont know if my build is too stronk. But probably gonna explore abit and put some vigor points and maybe get a sombering stone
Second phase Renala has very little defence, so you'll chew through her real easy. I managed to one shot her second phase and was surprised how easy it was.
You can't go wrong levelling vigor. At a point in the game, health doesn't matter anymore either way.
- Having like 700+ HP will make him much easier (around that point you don't get oneshot by his attacks, which is the main issue in this fight)
- He's weak to poison so if you can apply that and just focus on staying alive things will get a bit easier (he does a cool pose when he first notices you which gives you enough time for a full dragon breath casting, or running up to him and unleashing a couple regular attacks). It takes two full poison durations to kill him so you'll probably still want to do some regular damage in the meantime though.
- Just like regular Tree Sentinel, being on horseback and doing hit-and-run attacks is pretty safe (just watch out for his fire breath projectiles and hitscan lightning bolts, those need manual dodging instead of just moving quickly)
Potentially you could also lure him closer to the golem archers and hope they hit him? It's a very risky strat though and he warps back if he gets too far from his arena so not sure if it's worth even trying.
I feel the best way to approach it, is to abstain from leveling if you want greater challenge, and if you’re struggling, level up.
It’s all relative to your own experience, you can beat this game and level 7 or level 700.
