The knight's sword seems to have some unique moves as well but only when 2-handed.
Claymore wins in my book.
I don't usually use the skills of the weapons, it's too complicated for me to just understand which one suits me best, I only use the double attack, especially in the air and dodge.
I was never too technical in soul like games, I only played Dark Souls 2 before Elden Ring and I was never too technical
if you are dual wielding greatswords, this does not apply. all you really have to consider is range, damage, and if you want the claymore R2 or not.
both claymore and knights greatsword are better 2 handed tho. id recommend trying out claymore 2 handed for a bit - the R2 has better tracking, the crouch R1 is better, and once you get used to unlocking and freeaiming when needed, even just the neutral R1 is better. dual wield greatsword can work in pvp, the jump attack is good, damage is strong, but overall its a relatively weak setup - all of the L1 attacks are very easy to avoid.
I don't usually play pvp, it's an aspect of the game that doesn't interest me at least for the moment
Pardon my ignorance, but it is not clear to me what R1 and R2 are.
Well, I'm used to doing jump attacks with both greatswords, because usually on the third attack followed by a dual jump, I get a critical hit.
By the way, is it worth raising any of these weapons above +8? I have some forge stones and I can't decide to spend them.
by the way, the knight's greatsword has a special attack whose use I don't understand
