Favorite Straight Sword moveset?
For me it's the Broadsword, no questions. Call me basic, but the weapon is utterly versatile. Thrusts can be gained through Ashes of War, but aren't always optimal, so having this sword be fantastic coming out of a variety of other actions, in really any set-up, completes me.

How about you?

Lordsworn main- Nice moveset, best dmg around and can add any Ashes you want to scale with your favour build.

I love the lazuli glintstone sword's unique r2 with the functionally useless but flashy block. Otherwise anything with the r2 poke. The short sweep irks me. Maybe it's too close to the inferior stamp (sweep) AoW, or smth.
Coded Sword good for faith builds.

Just started using the Broadsword last night in fact. Digging it.

I used the broadsword for quite a while when I first started playing. Used it till around the time I hit Altus Plateau. This was back when I didn’t know how AoW’s worked, nor cared to learn. The Square Off skill felt a little OP so I just ran with it. Shout out to the Coastal Cave merchant for selling me that bad boy

Warhawk's talon is great because the heavy attacks launch you forward, so it has really deceptively good range. You also keep the thrust on the crouch attack, it looks really cool and is among the longer straight swords -> my favorite straight sword.

I personally don't like the broadsword because it doesn't have any native thrusts.

Miquellan knight's sword's heavy attack is also great because it also launches you forward, but the weapon is really late in the game.

Ornamental Straight Sword.
I just think it's edgy buff animation is neat, which also changes the heavy attack behavior. That and having more dual-weapon attacks, than you'd normally have, when powerstancing straight swords.
Bro I hate how most 2handed sword attacks scrape the ground for some reason. Like, the sparks are cool and all, but damn it bugs me. Imagine how dull the edges get. Personally I like the Estoc move set or the Knights great sword, the one where your character 2hands it by spinning it and ending in a cool pose.
