It's been meta for ages but like everything else most people that use it don't know how to use it. It's like watching scrubs with dual lance wave dash towards you not understanding why you do it.

The amount of people who think they are good duelists for using Lances and Thrusting Spam is getting me to the point I'm done with low level PVP. I'd rather fight a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than only fight people using the same 3 weapons and AOW's

It's a good option to finish someone who tries to back up and heal, but pretty useless as a main attack in a 1v1.
