- Open Device Manager, Software Devices and disable "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator".
I also had frequent crashes to desktop related to insufficient virtual memory, which I fixed by opening the Virtual Memory settings, selecting "system managed size" and restarting the system. As it turns out, the manual pagefile setting I had before didn't improve things, but actually made them worse, so I just leave it to "system managed" for now.
Also, for those NVIDIA users who can't even start the game after 1.09, make sure to update your drivers to 531.41 at least.

I did this and it helped with my 6750xt. Now it runs quite smooth. Your 3080 should run this game far better than a 2070 and you should not except bad fps. Here's a tip but I'll put it coded: set heap cash-launch options.....do it. google it.
