Nagakiba, they have the same damage but nagakiba is longer.

If you dual wield use both unless you can get 2 nagakibas by trading or in NG+. Dual wielding deals more damage, especially with some damage boost talismans like rotten insignia

Nagakiba is similar damage but better reach. Powerstance katanas for better damage.

At the moment i have a uchigatana 2h so you suggest for max damage should i go take the 2nd uchigatana in the catacombs ans going dual wield ? And also wath ashes to use ?

You can wield any weapon in this game from starting to end. I finished a game using the Misericorde as main weapon, sometimes dualling it with the Reduvia or the Scorpion Sting.

Use both. :er_sweat:

Usually, heavier weapon does way more damage but these two are kinda equal.

Get an interresting AoW on your left-hand uchigatana. A blood art if you put some point in arcane, or else lighting will be strong with their Dex scaling.

Piercing Fang on the nagakiba is solid, for it's reach and poise damage, so you can keep it.

If you want to use ashes then normal attacks don't matter. Ashes will only draw stats from the weapon held in main hand. If you 2 hand your main hand weapon it will double AP from STR stat. That will cause the ashes to deal slightly more damage, but that's not gonna add all that much. If you want to focus your build on normal attacks then powerstancing katanas will result in more damage.

So guys Nagakiba with Unseather ashes 2 hand can carry me till i get rivers of blood ? My plan was going 2 hand nagakiba until i get rivers of blood and the dual wield them with points on arcane to boost bleeding ? Is solid build ?

Just play that you enjoy, try different things. I can only tell you the same thing, normal attacks benefit from different playstyle and somewhat different stats than ashes of war. If you want to use a weapon with strong ashes of war, like RoB, then you need to focus on making the ashes deal more damage and not weapon attacks. Arcane will increase bleed buildup if the weapon has bleed effect on it. RoB ashes will buildup bleed faster since the skill takes stats from the weapon directly.

You are better off powerstancing katanas or curved swords until you get RoB, or you can use Blood slash ashes (from Fort Joy, you can get that quite early) and 2 hand your weapon.

Rivers and Corpse is overrated.....It works spamming on earlier bosses but the latter bosses give you little time to pull off even the first animation of the ash. I think you'ld be better off finishing the game with Naga's IMO

W8 last question so a nagakiba with Unseather ashes on it its better to use it 2 hands and if i want to focus on normal attacks dual wield is best choice right ?

Ashes of war aleays draw AP from main hand AP. If you powerstance two weapons the AP from tour off hand will be neglected when casting ashes of qar skill. If you want to use ashes you are better off with 2 handing for extra STR ap. If you want normal attacks then use powerstance with cold infusion to get both frost and bleed buildup and get 40 INT/DEX, then spread the rest on vigor and arcane.
