What important items should I grab in Leyndell before the spoiler event?

I used to always rush through the main questline so quick that I miss a lot of important items lol...

On fextralife you can check all items to be found on Leyndell, i recommend it because depending on your build, some items might be interesting other not

imo there isnt much important unless you want to use the legendary weapon thats there, and you need 40 dex for that one sooooo

Oh those are good!! Though I'm just basically cosplaying guts this run lol...so I won't be needing those. I'll definitely pick them up for faith/dex build run though.

If you care about quests, Brother Corhyn needs to have some theological and philosophical discussions to continue his story. If you complete his quest, you will get the Goldmask set and access to a few fundamentalist incantations. Just know that you will need to be able to cast Law of Regression by the statue of Marika, which has a higher intelligence requirement. Using items, physick, and talismans, most builds can do it without any stat investment in intelligence. I believe you get locked out of this questline after killing Maliketh.

they are many missable items but none of it matters for end game. most of it can be replaced like for ex if you missed a talisman or so, its upgraded version will be available afterwards.

But there is indeed ONE big exception. as mentionned before. the Bolt of Gransax. and it's requiered if you want the "all legendaries weapons" achievement.

as for smithstone ect...you are offered to buy them later by finding pearls (except for +10 weapons but the only one to be found in leyndell is in its ashen state) so you're good to go.

Bolt of Gransax and Coded Sword.

Coded Sword is way better than people make it out to be, as blocking it means pretty much nothing, and its version of Unblockable Blade (which can't be blocked at all, as per the name) is a medium-range wide sweep capable of instantly clearing a crowd.

It's a very good weapon. Just not great against Maliketh, Radagon, and GumbiThulhu (Elden Beast).

Bolt of Gransax, the Roundtable Hold area in the capital (both floors), the grace of the Divine Bridge (for the waygate to the Isolated Divine Tower) and I don't remember, but does the underground area becomes inaccessible after the… event that raises the average temperature in the city? To a flaming hot point?

The underground area still accessible, if i'm not wrong there is an item there than can be obtained from the sewers only after the event happend.

This is correct. It's a health talisman by dropping down the manhole. The boss of the area is still available as well as the frenzied flame ending. You will need to teleport out of thee sewers, however. The entrance will be flooded with ashes.

Oh so basically only faith/dex builds have to worry about this? For others, just grab the golden seed and the holy whetstone, and they are all set.

just make sure you pick up everthing on streets before progressing . sewers will be still avaiable until end of game
