Greataxe vs Great Mace?
On a pure strength build which one has higher damage output at +25 and heavy infusion? I know that the mace has S tier scaling and the axe has A but which one has the highest DPH and DPS?
Originalmente postado por Dr.Falcon:
The Greataxe at +25 on a pure STR build (80 STR) and two handed has an AR of 830. The Great Mace with those same requirements has an AR of 800. Greathammer's have higher poise damage and do strike damage, Greataxe's do slash damage. Thirty points is really no huge difference with endgame stats, it's down to preference and both the weapons are easy to acquire early on. If you're running a strength build, why not have both on your character?

The Executioners Greataxe has an AR of 832 with those same stats. The Brick Hammer has an AR of 807 (if I remember correctly) as well. Once again this comes down to preference, the extra damage is a pittance in the grand scheme of things.

Hope this helped!

Depends on which weapon, their scaling and requirements
Personal favorite, Executioners Heavy Greataxe, best range, low requirements if compared to other weapons, greatest damage at 60str and high crit rate

I mean THE greataxe that you find near Sellen's first location carried by the two giants and the great mace near the grand lift of dectus.

Prelate's Cozier is better then them all. It has an awesome moveset that keeps humanoid enemies knockdowned and stunned infinitely - and it's a "standard" weapon.

One correction, greataxes do standard damage, not slashing. Except for the rusted anchor, which does piercing damage.

My mistake. Forgot. Thanks for catching that.

Prelates Crozier is also a slow colossal weapon. Great weapons are much faster and the AR difference at +25 is only around ~100 between a Great Mace and the Prelates. AR is not everything, granted since motion values are much more important, but the OP specifically wanted these two weapons to be compared. Stacking roar buffs, you can do thousands of damage easy with a charged War Cry heavy from a Greataxe or Great-Hammer.
