What is your endgame level
I always have been interested in this fundamental question and have googled this question a lot. Unfortunately those answers don't satisfy me.

If you do absolutely everything in the game (all optional content), never farm or keep farming to absolute minimum because some repetition is unavoidable.

I hear people saying 150, 210, 250 and they all claim "I did not farm just normal 99-100%" and this is way too much spread to be believable. So someone is lying

Level

- 100%
- no active farming for levels
- PVE only
- farming is okay only up to the amount to offset runes spent for weapon upgrades and accessories

Edit: Assume no gold scarab, but even if one uses it according to my calculations at endgame this would net you no more than 10 levels above. So spread of 10 levels is okay

Miquella's Haligtree is what I'd consider the endgame level.

There are other variables to this equation, like the amount of runes you can permanently lose upon dying before you recover them, as well as the amount you spend on upgrading and purchasing equipment. If you are conservative about this I don't think 150 is that outlandish.

I keep to a maximum of 125, but that's more for the sake of staying in META range than for lack of runes.

No let's be clear 100% means 100%. Every enemy on the map, every boss. Okay

Of course can miss some small enemy by mistake but all areas have to be covered thoroughly

Yep, and couldn't stop giggling afterwards. ... EVERYONE farms at least a little, although without the crazy rune glitches it's a case of diminishing returns since the 'legit' rune farms just aren't that good. ... Also you failed to account for co-op and runes lost through double death.

If you lose runes due to death, assume you can farm the exact amount back but no more than that.

Accessories let's keep it conservative as you said, nothing excessive, regular route 3-4 top upgraded weapons

I accounted for co-op I said no PVP. That would create deviations and we would never agree what is the true net value of runes in the game

Well, it certainly couldn't be the person behind the alt account whose entire post history consists entirely of two troll threads. That person can't be lying, because... reasons.

You do realize that even in Fromsoft's backwards system you can summon and partake in co-op without PvP most of the time.

The problem is that you are asking a question that is naturally going to vary wildly from person to person because no-one plays the same ... I for instance rest at every grace I find because I hate missing out in potential camp dialog and end up backtracking alot.

Although not "farming" this is going to net me more runes than someone who doesn't do that ... my current character is in the Snowfields and is currently (133) ... and I need to double back to help Ranni and clear Mogh.

It didn't help that I forgot where the stupid graces were in Lyndell so I ended up clearing the first portion multiple times recovering my runes most of the time.

Ah sorry I see what you mean. yes summoning NPC on bosses gives 30% less runes
vapechimp Apr 29, 2023 @ 1:44pm
So let's keep the NPC summoning relaxed, it won't matter more than 2-3 levels at endgame sumonning them or not. I will just allow a certain correction plus minus 10 levels. The important thing is to be 100% and not actively farming
fauxpas Apr 29, 2023 @ 1:44pm
And a friend of mine who did alot of farming is (173) with I think just Rot Queen and Radagon to kill ... but she plays completely differently than I do.
vapechimp Apr 29, 2023 @ 1:52pm
I tend to think this should be 160-170 level but sometimes I hear 200 and this is quite above and must be farming or lies, some people intentionally lie in their life
Reikis645 Apr 29, 2023 @ 2:24pm
I just did 100% playtrough of Elden Ring, killing every single boss and doing every NPC questline. In the end I was level 150 with around 1 mil runes, because didn't want to level over 150. Didn't lose a single rune along the way. So safe answer is level 160.
