I keep to a maximum of 125, but that's more for the sake of staying in META range than for lack of runes.
Of course can miss some small enemy by mistake but all areas have to be covered thoroughly
Yep, and couldn't stop giggling afterwards. ... EVERYONE farms at least a little, although without the crazy rune glitches it's a case of diminishing returns since the 'legit' rune farms just aren't that good. ... Also you failed to account for co-op and runes lost through double death.
Accessories let's keep it conservative as you said, nothing excessive, regular route 3-4 top upgraded weapons
You do realize that even in Fromsoft's backwards system you can summon and partake in co-op without PvP most of the time.
The problem is that you are asking a question that is naturally going to vary wildly from person to person because no-one plays the same ... I for instance rest at every grace I find because I hate missing out in potential camp dialog and end up backtracking alot.
Although not "farming" this is going to net me more runes than someone who doesn't do that ... my current character is in the Snowfields and is currently (133) ... and I need to double back to help Ranni and clear Mogh.
It didn't help that I forgot where the stupid graces were in Lyndell so I ended up clearing the first portion multiple times recovering my runes most of the time.
