Elden Ring crashed with 3070 and low graphics
I've got 60+ hours logged in game and most was with my last computer (8750H & 2070 Max-q) and it probably 10 hours with my new one 10750H & 3070 and the game randomly started to crash and has become unplayable even on low settings. both computers would play on maximum at 60 FPS but one day I booted and it wouldn't play. I've reinstalled windows after formatting my drive and redownloaded everything and still no better. I have it set as using my discrete graphics card. I've tried windows 10 home, pro & 11 home and all the same. Booted in discrete mode and still the same. Does anyone have any ideas?

1. Your PC is likely failing.
2. Dont buy new PCNotebook once per 2 generations of CPU's as its ver inefficient.
3. 2070 should be running this game fine unless you want to play it at huge resolution with every possible detail on maximum.

if your system does not have the optimal power supply, even with good hardware, the system on demand will not work well.

I don't see it being the hardware failing as I've benchmarked them and they're comparable or better to the same hardware. The power supply is working as well. The battery never drained while playing the game. Temps don't get high either but they never did on this computer. I've cinebench r20 i get a 3382 and in unigine superposition I get a 7499.

To make it clearer, my old pc that I just replaced was a 8750 & 2070 and it ran 60 fps. My new 10750 & 3070 ran it as well for a while and now its not running on low graphic setting. i can rule out hardware failure through benchmarking.

Do you have the latest driver? I think the last driver or two screwed up my game as well. Crashed 2 times in one sitting and was getting worried about my 3060 Ti or PSU.....Updated the drivers and have been playing a few hours at a time without issus

This is conflating performance with stability. These are two different things.

Post Windows Event Viewer crash logs.

little info there is no benchmark that can replicate the stress this game create.

look at the windows eventvwr for the crash log and post it here.

Likely a driver issue
1173104 Mar 20, 2023 @ 5:42pm
I've tried 3 different drivers and 2 off which were known to previously work. I'm on the latest on that dropped 3/14. My Event Viewer says this

Right this looks like a gpu driver issue, deinstall the gpu driver with DDU and install the one recommenced by the Laptop manufacturer from the Support page if it is a Laptop.

Also check for bios updates

IDK what DDU is but I'll look into it. So I made some headway. The nvlddmkm is also caused by overclocking. when Elden ring would run good i was running a 200 MHz overclock on the core offset & vram. I turned it off and played for about 15 minutes on maximum graphics and it didn't crash. Big improvement as it would crash on low graphics. I switched back to overclock and it crashed and got a different event. Thanks for the help so far. I've been able to make some progress.
