Best sword/weapon for a mage

I have moonveil and uchigatana but am always looking for something nice to compliment my build. Currently almost finished with the quest to get the darkmoon Greatsword but idk if it's any good.

What are the top 5 weapons (not staffs) for mages in your opinions?

The poise damage on the beam got nerved, but it still hits just as hard.

Little dagger that is very light but has HUGE ash of war dmg with the right talismans.

Also dont underestimate the spinning weapon ash of war on the carian regal sceptre, very damaging!

It was nerfed but its still really overpowered

wing of astel, fallingstar beast jaw, clayman's harpoon with ice spear, meteoric ore blade, ruins greatsword

though any weapon and ash of war of your liking are probably going to work

I like the plain longsword with hoarfrost stomp ash on and magic affinity, fast and light.

I've seen 2 people say wing of astel, I think I picked that up today in the quest to get the darkmoon Greatsword.

I didn't think any of it but it's good for mages? I'll check it out.

I love St Trina's sword. That sleep is very valuable for a mage, it allowed me to put distance with enemies more than once, and prepare spells, or whatever.
