Question about power stance
I'm a mage. I'm using moonveil in my right hand and in my left my staff or a cold uchigatana.

As far as I understand the power stance is when I use both katanas at the same time right.

But in that case my uchigatana cold ash of war doesn't work right?

Or should I double fist the uchigatana, activate its ash of war and then go back to double weilding and it stays in cold ash form?

Or will power stance with the uchigatana in my left hand just make it a "normal" katana?

I wasn't really sure how to explain my question so I hope it's clear enough.

Place the weapon whose ash you wish to use in your right hand; that allows you to powerstance while continuing to make use of the desired ash.

This will work, yes. You can activate a buff for the left-hand weapon by 2-handing it and then going back to powerstance.

It does, great! That's exactly what I want.

Follow up question, does power stance also mean double damage or is that wishful thinking?

I don't know about double, but definitely a lot more.

When I calculated it 6 months ago, and made a post here, it was like 20-25% more. This of course depended on the attack type. Been meaning to re-test.

Right.

Right, because it's in your left hand.

Are you talking about Ash of War: Chilling Mist? You can two-hand it to cast the skill, but I'm unsure if that buff will be retained if you go back to dual-wielding / power-stancing.

That's a pretty nice boost anyway.

Yes chilling mist.
I tested it and the frost animation stays on the uchigatana in my left hand for exactly 38 seconds. So I assume it works.

Like normal, no ash. But as seen above it works :)

Oh, cool. I've always wanted to make a Katana / Wakizashi power-stance build. I like the asymmetrical look. And the 1.08 change is nice.
