The real slap here is that none of the past games are on sale! as someone who was introduced to the series through Elden Ring, I'd really like to play 'em, but $60 (no DLC included) for a game that came out nearly 7 years ago..?
Seriously, what's the deal? Why did all sales on souls games stop all together 14 months ago?
meanwhile, sekiro goes on sale multiple times.
i guess they aren't desperate to sell this game, everyone wants to play this and nobody wants to play sekiro, lol
i am scratching my head when it comes to the dark souls games, because even dark souls 2, which is apparently the most hated one, never goes on sale
Nintendo has been doing this for a while now, Look at any of their games and their at full price. Their using the Excuse that "It's not fair for players who payed full price, for another player to play their games at a discount" so in their eyes it's consumer friendly to keep 6 year games at full price.
Also Sekiro is on sale.
The devs are " edgy " because YOU missed a sale ? LMFAO some of the statements people make are so ridiculous . It's your fault you missed a sale not the devs . Imagine complaining about sales on PC of all platforms . PC games go on sale every week , all month , all year around .
Dude you can get elden ring for like $30 or less via other retailers . The game has been on sale so many times in fact its on sale RIGHT NOW and you're complaining lol .
" And somehow this little game from japan is the only one not on sale? like really? how edgy are the devs? " First off you need to understand that elden ring isn't a " little game from japan " its a big one and successful one . Japan is a different region. Not all regions have the same sales nor do they have the same holidays . Not all games participate in all sales at the same time.
Every time their wasn't a big sale going on via steam ... Japanese games were on sale month after month , week after week for prices like $32 , $15 , and some even $5 then after it was over they shot back up to $45 and $52 . You just missed it. Elden ring has hit a low of $36 many times .
Eastern dev's don't typically have sales when everyone else is in america. You know that " random " day you hop online and see Japanese games on massive discounts ? Yea that's either when they decided to do a sale , or its a holiday in their region.
it's not on sale on steam, nor is it on sale on humble store. .gog doesn't even have it at all.
retail stores like best buy still sell at full price.
i understand these aren't the only places to buy games from, but why do we have to go into to shady deep websites to find a discounted steam key?
also people claiming that elden ring has been on sale multiple times, when pcgamer dot com says that the winter 2022 sale was "the first time ever"
not huge but cheaper than steam
you cant be a fan of a game you havent played
I stand corrected it actually had discounted prices via 3rd party retailers on the pre orders and in the first two weeks so that website has it wrong if they say winter of 2022 was the only time ... maybe first time as in feb of 2022 but all 2022 it had sales .
