Fourteen years later, I'm hopelessly addicted.
If that doesn't happen for you, that's okay--and I'm sorry your experience hasn't been good thus far. But don't be afraid to put it aside for a while and come back to it fresh.
Or just put it down.
Do whatever is right for you, and the hell with what anyone else has to say about it.
What is your vigor, what level are you, and how strong are your flasks?
Intelligence builds are not the easeist in all cases, for all people, and for at all points in the game. It is absolutely true in some cases. They're probably easiest for people that know what they're doing, use very strong spirits, or are at end-game. However, if you're new, you will get bent over harder than with various other classes. I would have recommended a Vagabond for you for a good first class. I've seen some say Confessor too.
Are you talking about Glintstone Dragon Smarag? It has 80% magic resistances. What sorceries are you using against it? I hope not magic. Meteorite is the answer. Also, I generally leave dragons for last in each zone. Right before I move onto another zone. They seem more difficult usually than the rest of the zone.
What enemy and what ability are you using? The reward should be the enjoyment of playing the game and exploring.
This changes once you get deeper into the game. So much so that I was changing my appearance pretty often on my Astrologer. But if you really want a different appearance now, you could just wear some heavier stuff but only 2-3 pieces. Don't put on the helmet or gloves, etc.
Edit: also, need help? Password?
you realize there is no point to it.
You destroyed the game for yourself.
And the only morbid gratification comes from knowing to be superior, show it to people that can't achieve such mastery and convince yourself your time was well spent rather than wasted.
I enjoy the game by muting it and listening to a podcast or vaty vidia old videos, when the lore was enjoyable, lmao
you are not alone man ... those are all valid criticisms ... maybe the dlc will improve things, who knows
I appreciate your intentions, but I had help with this many times and this is more a case of me just not getting along with how the game is designed :)
This game isn't for everyone; don't worry about it.
I mean it's probably different for different people, but this sounds really astute.
Fair enough @ not being strong enough. I would avoid that dude for a while if I were you.
Hmm, I hope it's significantly over 20. Otherwise, that sounds low. It should probably be at 35 by now.
Regarding the imps, unfortunately getting through them without taking many hits is quite the balance act. Not sure if there's a shortcut around them. They still get me sometimes. I primarily used charged heavy attacks with a Caestus and that did the trick for me. I used that strategy from beginning to end.
