Favourite NPC questline?
Obviously heavy spoilers in post

What questline did you guys most enjoy or resonate with?
Sellen and Big-Boggart (Boiled prawn man) for me.
Was able to follow them around the world rather naturally and they're really likeable characters.

I liked the Millicent one the most. I loved how dark and mysterious the entire questline is, at first you have no idea who or what Millicent and the old man is or what are they about, but you slowly learn more and more about them.

It delivers a lot of different emotions too, at times it is really sad and brutal with the rot theme going on, but then later it gets quite hopeful as she is trying to follow the path of Malenia.

I really like the design of Millicent as well, she looks awesome in all her stages with all the hairstyles and stuff, the voice actress nailed the dialogue too which was also interesting.

Its overall just an entertaining questline, the only thing that was a little dissapointing is the ending for me.

For me, Hyetta's and Millicent's quests are by far the best sidequests in the game. I didn't like Millicent's quest ending very much, but the bulk of her quest was pretty good. Hyetta's quest is just great all the time: you feed a blind girl human eyeballs because she wants more grapes, then you tell her about it, then she goes insane, then she directs you to the madness deity, then she burns herself and gives you a very nice item. Absolutely perfect, I want more quests like that in video games.

Ranni's quest might be a competitor, but it is:
a) Basically one third of the game and a main quest, really.
b) More about visiting nice locations and killing bosses, which we do anyway.
c) Narrative is kinda blah, and there's little expression there whatsoever.

- Sellen's questline.
- Volcano Manor's questline.
- Ranni's questline (MGS FTW).
- Patches' questline. He's the only reliable source of gold fowl feet and fan daggers.
- Gurranq's questline.

For the plot:
- Alexander's questline. Who doesn't like the funny jar bro? His ending is sad, but he does get an honorable death. For a warrior like him, he can't ask for much more.
- Corhyn's questline. The Perfect Order ending may, depending on the lore interpretation, be the least dystopian ending.
- Nepheli's questline. Replacing Godrick, a widely despised character, with a more respectable leader makes me feel like I've done something legitimately good in the Lands Between.
- Millicent's questline. You're effectively watching the next Malenia rise in real time. Something about that is quite memorable. If she does become the next Malenia, you directly created one of the most capable warriors in the Lands Between. Of course, it all depends on the ending you take.
Nepheli's was quite nice actually, I just wish she had more to say.
AHH I can't believe I forgot potbro

It's really strange, it's like we're grooming a Malenia
only to realize what we were doing and backtrack. Denying Gowry his fetishes
