Nagakiba ash of war suggestions?

I've had unsheathe on Uchigatana since I've started it and find it a bit OP if used right but I have quite a few ashes of war now and some look good, is there a "perfect match" for the Nagakiba? I only found it tonight before I stopped playing so I didn't spend much time looking at them, is there anything similar to unsheathe?
Also what affinity goes best with their ashes? I got a bit overwhelmed and confused looking at them all! Thanks in advance!

Some good options include spinning slash, impaling thrust, sword dance, piercing fang, storm blade, flaming strike. You generally get the best results using the original infusion native to the ashes, but a lot of the time it doesn't really matter and is mostly based on weapon upgrade level. You can do a little testing yourself by changing things around.

I had a quick look at spinning slash and double slash and decided I would probably go with double slash! I'll check them all fully out later on, just after advice at the moment!

If I dual Nagakiba with River of Blood, should I add ash of war related to bleed or frost on it?

Endure. That way you can face tank and hit back.

Endure is one of the best ashes of war in the game. It's not fancy, but it costs like almost no FP, has minimal windup, and its incredibly useful for bleed/ frost builds because it allows you to face tank enemies and retaliate immediately.

Not even gonna lie, the default Ash of War is already excellent unless you're doing PvP. Nagakiba is so INSANELY long the super fast draw of Unsheathe lets it rip into enemies that aren't even really in melee range of you.

You can also, amusingly, put Lion's Claw on it for all that posture damage and the pancake on smaller enemies.

early game the best infusion is standard or no infusion. Infusions tend to reduce the dmg of the weapon but increase the bonus dmg gained from stats. Early game tends to have really small stats and poor stat bonus.

nagakiba is dex, so lightning infusion or keen would be nice if you have really big dex. Check the dmg numbers, are they better, or slightly lower? If you are too early, its prob not worth it to infuse yet.

spinning slash and impaling thrust are fine ashes...

Blood blade, best Aow for nagakiba. Adds a ranged option and if you use it while being close enough to fellate the boss it'll register as two hits, making bleed proc faster in addition to doing more damage
