Should I level past 150?
I researched a bit and some people stop leveling further after reaching 150. Is it only when you want to PvP you shouldn't level past 150 or is there a reason not to for PvE as well?

If you want to do PVP and PVE stay as 150 if its just for PVE go as high as you wish

For PvE it's to maintain a challenge and make the "NG+" actually mean something.
But really for solo only PvE you can do what you want since level doesn't mean anything but letting you do X more things without respeccing if you go for 200-300.
But yeah after 150 PvP becomes increasingly less fun for many, and having to highest pool of players for PvE is always fun.

Turn your extra Runes into smithing stones. Money is power.

But, if you want to do co-op and you don't want to wait more than ten minutes to be summoned you should stay at 150.
im at lvl 199 and i have very little delay in getting summoned

The reason everyone hates pvp is cause they play at the meta level. Meta level blows and is full of tryhards
Once you hit lvl 170 - 200 its way more bulld variety, higher survivability and the "meta" builds lose their edge and aren't so cheesey

People play at the meta level because its the best level for builds to be specialised, after that they become very homogeneous as you have the points to use just about everything so you end up with incantation using mages with duel str 50 weapons and the highest poise armour.

Essentially after a certain point there is no build variety as the build is "use everything as you have the stats to do that"

You could always make copies of your game file, leave one at 150 and level the other one as much as you want. Or you can dupe the character so you have multiple in one game file.

This is objectively wrong for everything that is not a pure physical build lol

The real reason people play a meta is because the community ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moans about letting people go higher than an arbitrary number which only benefits very select builds.

You clearly don't understand builds that well. Going a bit past it isn't to bad, but the further past 150 you go the more all builds merge together as you have enough points to do basically everything. 200 for example you have 50 points to level up faith enough to use all the incantations, 250 you can now be a super mage, but a super mage with all incantations and very powerful armour and melee weapons.

150 has been agreed on in general because it means you have enough points to create a build, like a dex or quality build, but don't have so many points that builds are no longer a thing and its just the exact same stuff fighting the exact same stuff over and over.

Ah, ok small boy, I'll leave you to your inferiority complex, you clearly don't like admitting when you're wrong.

100% absolutely unless you are creating a PvP-focused character.

Enemies don't stop dropping runes, so may as well.

I’m level 310 and I get slapped when I invade ppl lol level doesn’t help that much anyway, still gotta have skill
ItsEazy11 Mar 8, 2024 @ 12:55pm
But when you have enough points to do everything against another player that’s the same it’s a fun battle, just bleed vs a just strength is boring I want someone with bleed, strength and sorcery trying to kill me, much more fun
