Which fist weapon to choose?
Been doing a pure punch playthrough so far, and have been using the spiked caestus since i picked em up but I also grabbed blackard boggarts fist orb things. I naturally put the heavy property on the caestus as i'm going pure STR. Question is is it worth going for boggart's punchers? or just keep upgrading caestus until i get the star fist in Leyndell? The bleed seems pretty tough to give up but if boggart gives more raw dmg I could start investing into it.

Star Fist is the most damaging, I think, but Katar has the best reach. Caestus and its variants have the benefit of... not looking ridiculous. Haha. The damage differences aren't that big so it's not like it's essential to pick one over the other.

The Veteran's Prosthesis isn't bad either. It doesn't build a status effect and it's a relatively late game weapon but it does have better AR without status buildup.

Also, though you only get one per game cycle, the Grafted Dragon does have the highest AR of all fist weapons.

So, if you get bored of the Star Fist you do have alternatives.
Sorry what does AR mean? Also I may have eaten godricks rune lol, I'm more or less going pure strength (iffy on faith for incantations). but good to know for star fist!

I used the regular Caestus from beginning to end game. I liked the low stamina usage on the charged heavy attacks. This is probably irrelevant on higher stamina characters.

Cipher Pata. Because having lightsabers growing out of your fists is objectively cooler than the other fist weapons.

Personally I go with Katar as it benefits significantly from the spear talisman and can do crazy counter hit damage

Haven’t tried it since the new patch, but I was one shotting people before with RKR on it. Probably still pretty busted

I mostly used them against enemies that can’t bleed (ex: golems) or died too quickly for it to matter. But against bosses or runebears, spiked would definitely win.

gotcha, i solidifed myself on a punchy/brawler build so the katar didn't seem to fit the image i had for it in my head. I'm also using the seemless co-op mod even if I don't party up with friends but just incase; so i don't rlly worry about pvp.
