Can someone recommend me a spirit ash?

I am looking for something rather unique, not just a weapon wielding knight.

I desperately wish the Soldjars weren't utter dogsh!t otherwise it'd be them.

Now I'm leaning towards the Rotten Stray dog spirit. Anyone got some fun suggestions?

I think Spirit Ashes depends a lot on the character you play. In my case my warrior is pure Vigor, Endurance and Strength, using a "Mimic Tear" on such a character is totally beneficial, since you will create a Clone Tank to hold the boss for you to kill. Mine got so strong that I don't even use it so the game doesn't lose its fun. See your build and the summon that will give you an advantage, as well as the correct way to choose your "Pokemon"

if you have a lot of health and you should mimic tear is the best

but there are plenty of fun ones like Banished Knight Oleg, Black Knight Tiche, Lhutel the Headless, Redmane Knight Ogha and Crystalian Ashes.

I used the wolves in my first playthrough, they're... decent.

I use Latenna. Only because I wanted a summon that would support me and not play the game for me. To use her effectively, you have to know the arena as to where to deploy her since she can't move. She deals decent damage, but can't defend herself if attacked.

I liked the Greatshield Soldier Ashes. There are four of them and can take a lot of argo and damage. They throw frost ghost fire pots as well.

The Wandering Nobles? Maybe I'm missing something, but they seem pretty useless to me.

It's a joke. A goof. A gaffe. A display of silliness to inspire chuckles and eye rolls.

To be fair, while they are not an offensive threat... there are a lot of them. They aren't useless. They can be distractions. Which is what most summons are, if nothing else.

The Marionette Soldier Ashes are a lot of fun. I prefer melee, and they provide ranged support, will make human enemies dodge and move around, draw some fire but not too much. Good support without feeling like the ashes are carrying you.

Besides the obvious "Black Knife Tiche" (a speed demon yeeting Destined Death projectiles), I'd say "Latenna The Albinauric".

While her weapon is just a bow, she's unique in that she can't move. Which means you have to think about where to plop her so that she doesn't die in 10 seconds - some kind of high ground("Hello there") is preferrable.

The reward comes in form of a consistent, extremely damaging sniper fire support, and the range is nothing to sneeze at too. Basically, if you've seen one of those archers near Ordina, then you know what to expect.

Fun fact: When she's near one of those large wolves, she will ride it. It's a cool feature - but the amount of scenarios where it can be done is... low. Cool easter egg, nonetheless
