Really high achievment completion rate?
How come Elden ring has an absurdly high amount of achievments completed? Yesterday I beat Malenia and I can't believe how 34% of the players managed to get this achievment.

If I compare this with other games it doesn't really make sense?

What's going on?

because the achievements that ELDEN RING And DARK SOULS Has is not a chore complete.they're so easy to get. so far ELDEN RING Is the easier one to 100% while Souls Games needs at least few NG+ Cycles to get 100%

Two reasons. Elden Ring has ways to "bypass" bosses that past Souls games didn't have, namely spirit ashes and broken weapons arts or spells.

Second, unlike previous Souls games, it is actually possible to do all the achievements in one single playthrough, except for the one involving multiple endings but you can bypass that with some save scumming.

I think it's because people know what kind of game it is so when you purchase it you already know that you will beat the bosses even if it will take forever.

Summoning (players or spirits) = easy mode.

In the Feb 2022 interview Miyazaki stated that one their aims was to enable more players to complete and see more of the game. They were not happy with the low completion rates in Sekiro and wanted to make the game more open, give more options, make it more accessible. What you see is that they basically succeeded. Interestingly, the game completion rate for Elden Ring is not just high for a Souls game - it is quite high for any type of game. Many players only briefly play a given game or lose interest a third of the way through.

Elden Ring had many more new players than "veterans" though :)

For very obvious reason, that the game itself is more accessible for wide auditory.

Something definetly worked out well! I recently also completed God of War, in which only 5% of the players managed to get all the achievments. With the game having a relatively short story, and some challenging but fun sidequests, I expected the completionrate of those type of games to be much higher but here Elden ring is : )

I think it's the hardest lol, in DS1 bosses are infinitely slower and weaker in both damage and HP, you can just stand in bosses faces and chug with high poise armour and barely take damage, there's some broken stuff in ER but you probably won't find out without google

My first time I played Elden ring I had a horrible time tbh. I didn't knew about spirit ashes, I didn't use ashes of war much cause the ones I found where not as great. And playing the games limited without summons or anything felt very unfair at times and I had very little fun, as a matter of fact. I made it all the way to the final boss and just quit, I gave up I was mentally drained and done with ER.

Now that I came back after a couple of months and started anew, with a better weapon, made more use of good ashes of war and started using mimic spirit ash I enjoyed the game alot more and completed all the quests the game has to offer, including I traveled all the paths for each possible ending. Very different experience that I wish I had the first time.
