I remember helping a low level take this guy out. Me and Jazz (I think it was him) decided to rot him to death from inside the Beastial Sanctum.

Unless something was changed in a recent patch, rot should still work. I know it was nerfed in 1.07 or 1.08; takes more to proc on all enemies now.

He really wanted to get me after I blew some stink breath on him. Just kept trying to get me while Tiny Gwyn fried him.

Praise the Tiny Gwyn. I instantly knew we were in trouble when i hit him with Lion's Claw and only took a tiny bit of his health. Literally went "ho ♥♥♥♥" in my head.
