Best quality weapons?

Using an online AR calculator, quality scaling seems not too great.

What are the best quality build weapons, or is that not a thing in this game?

I currently run pure strength, hand axe left, anchor in the right but might respec if I ang quality weapons tickle my pickle

bloodhound fang is the only weapon that is ok in a quality build. Rest is garbage. Quality overall is garbage

I think I'll stick with 9 dex and 66 strength and hope the DLC brings some weapons that interest me. (Or just better strength weapons)

As I've mentioned in several other threads, just about every non-somber weapon is better with its affinity set to Quality. The problem is that you need A LOT of points dumped into both STR and DEX for the AR to outpace a pure STR or DEX build, typically 50 STR and 50 DEX to be about equal to a pure build at 60. This means that you'd need to invest at least 80 points in STR and DEX (as a Wraith anyway) vs just 50 for a pure STR or DEX build. Add 50 points to VIG and some to MND and END and you're asking too much for a first playthrough.

Quality builds won't really start to shine until 60 STR and 60 DEX and generally continues to scale well up to 80 STR and 80 DEX. Mind you that this won't apply to all weapons. On the flip side, some will continue to scale somewhat decently until 99 STR and 99 DEX. Obviously this is for a NG+ playthrough and why I think Quality builds should be used only in NG+ to make any sense.

Thanks, that's a shame as I will be only leveling to 120 pr 150. Whatever the population pvp and co op range is

138 is a good middleground for PvP.

at 125 or 138 only few quality weapons will be strong. greatbows are among them.
that is, of course, if you don't give up on vigor and/or endurance.

at level 200 though, with ~70 STR and DEX, quality weapons hit HARD.
