Can I wear one armor but make it look like I am wearing another?

I truly love some of the "worse" armors in the game. I want to wear bull-goat for my build but for PvE i'd like some cosmetic that makes it look (to me) like I am wearing another armor set. Is this possible?

Yes but you have to kill re-skined enemies to adquire more types of armor if you want variety.

What do you mean?
I've already killed every single enemy/boss in the game and acquired all armor sets.

My question was can I wear, say, bull-goat armor but make it look like the redmane armor?

Sigh....ok fine lets be productive.

You can alter some pieces of armor reducing their weight, global stats and removing their cloaks. For that you just have to visit a site of grace and alter garments and thats all no other way to change your looks.

Im afraid you are stuck with the horrible looks of bull-goat and all you can do is mix sets like per example unaltered vanished knight chest with the rest of bull-goat to look like a baller

There is no way to mask a piece of armor to look like another piece. The bull goat armor will forever look like the bull goat armor.

because this is a game where PVP is possible, pretending in PVP a other armor to wear than you really use is cheating.

Works just fine on ESO, if you want your horribly mismatching Daedric/Ebony/Dwarven cobble reskinned to look like a full set of Leather armor, it lets you do it just fine, do one died.
