As going back to Elden Ring it is the worst souls game ever made...

...and I tell you why! So I should start the thing with I'm a Souls veteran I'v been playing with fromsoft games since 2011 and put thousands of hours into every title that they put out since then.

My reason why I say Elden Ring is the worst in the whole franchise: First is: Repetitive side bosses, literally the worst bosses EVER! I mean of course I get it, they can't make good bosses as in Dark souls 2 (favorite game of all time as you guys can see on my profile) but fighting against the same boss 3 times is boring unfortunately.

Second reason: Boss design is also awful compared to for example Dark Souls 2, but even Dark Souls 1 had more versatile and better looking bosses.

Third reason: Bosses are unfair, especially in the late game.One hit on lvl 100 no matter how skilled you are is unbalanced and poor designed bosses. I refuse to use some cheap gears so I played with a fair build and full solo it was unfair especially against Malenia. I saw youtube videos how they fought against her with insane cheap builds, man I could never play like that.

Fourth reason: Dungeons are repetitive and bosses in them are repetitive, therefore boring. Often rewards that dungeons give you have no value, NO VALUE AT ALL! Not even a weapon or something, like there are only 1-2 dungeons where you can get good items.

Fifth: Open world has almost no npcs, therefore almost no side quests or just some mediocore ones. I don't feel like this game need to be open world at all.

Sixth: Open world doesn’t reward you for exploring (exploring for 5 or more hours just to get new weapon or increase your estus is unfair) Open world can you give big new location to explore.You waste your 2 hours time to do so only to find out there is nothing valuable on that location

Also the music in Elden ring isn’t that good, DS2 had much more better music or even DS3.

In conclusion considering all the information above Elden Ring is the worst FromSoftware game ever made in my opinion, I genuienly think they should come back to the old Dark Souls formula.

A hidden boss inside a hidden area inside another hidden area, who was made difficult on purpose just to give a big challenge to players.
Take your time and learn to dodge, even the waterfowl can be avoided consistently.
Got her in 15 tries in my 1st playthrough with a zweihander, just by being patient.
She is not unfair.

. . . while to me DS2 is the very worst Souls and souls-like game ever conceived because of 80% of its content (and yes I put it under the original Lords of the Fallen because LotF is bad, but is consistent and consistently better than 80% of DS2).
As I said in other topics, had they cut this 80% content DS2 would be on par with DS1 (and under DS3, ER and Sekiro in my very honest opinion)

I think Elden RIng is fine, and if OP doesn't, that is fine too.

Regardless, being able to differentiate between a fact and an opinion naturally is a valuable skill to have. People shouldn't have to explicitly say "this is a fact" or "this is my opinion" all the time, especially on a video game forum lol.

Also, OP, the award for worst Souls game goes to DS2.
