Why can't I summon real players for Maliketh?

I've being trying the game at level one for awhile and I just can't beat Maliketh on my own, so I tried summoning (at the summoning pool near the grace) and no summoning signs show up. I just have found this odd as in my other playthrough I have actually been summoned to fight Malilketh, so I think the summon pool itself works. Is this a problem on my end or the games?

I just realized you can only summon people similar level to you. That explains it. Nevermind.

It's also affected by the highest weapon upgrade you've made iirc.

You can use multiplayer passwords to bring in people who are any level, they will be scaled to you though.

The three most popular ones I know of, are Seekers, Fextralife, and BERSERK, you should be able to get a few people that way.
