Oh, sale, really? The last Valve's update about regional prices listed 42% more expensive, but not for 100%. I would say nothing if Fromsoftware doing bigger discount, not just -30%

I mean, right now, on Steam DB, the price is listed in Ukraine as 1/3rd the price I paid for the game in CDN, and that is after currency conversions. I wouldn't complain if I was you.

I see it listed at 799₴ and it's 2241,28₴ in Canada. Even if the price hasn't been updated on steam DB and you got a 100% price increase, you're still paying 2/3rds of the price most of the western countries pay.

At 799₴, the only place where it's cheaper RN in the world that I can see on steam DB is in Turkey, at 410,78₴ (there is actually also Argentina).

Just giving you some perspective, from mine, you were blessed it was priced so low before, and you're still getting a better price than most of the world.

Isn't the game 299lira ?
Genuinely asking, maybe steamdb is fooling me.
Like, according to currency conversions, 299 lira is 14.65 CDN, and game is 79.99CDN here in Canada, which is 1632 lira.

Yes, in Ukraine the game is still cheaper even with new price as 1799₴, HOWEVER, you should keep in mind that Canada is muuuch richer than Ukraine, especially now that there is a war going on.

1800₴ is a BIG deal, considering that the average salary in Ukraine is 14577₴ (according to Google)

Okay yeah I wasn't aware the disparity in salary was this big, Google gives me an average salary of about 20,000 UAH, but that's still small compared to Canada. You have a point friendo~

Something very strange trend in the last two years to constantly raise the price of games.
1) After the release of the game from "pre-order to release".
2) After they stopped buying the game and try to beat off the number of sales by raising its price.
3) When increasing the price, the "discount" now looks like nothing more than a mockery - as it lowers to the old price to the "up on item 2".
So I look further and remember that the publishers are obviously carrying out a shift in regional prices to WORLD!
Excuse my paranoia, but that's exactly what it looks like to me.

Just so you known it's not valve's fault , they have their own regional pricing listed here

https://steamdb.info/blog/valve-price-matrix-2022-update/

It's the publishers that are responsible for jacking up prices in these regions , either way sales are your friend or third party key sellers , sailing the high seas is also a good option on occassion

Sad, I wanted to buy it on Autumn-Winter sale this year, but knowing FromSoftware with their discounts (30-50%) - I don't see it happening at all(

It's been a trend lately, unfortunately, Especially among the Japanese publishers. Same price hike for Atelier Ryza, the Yakuza series, and others. Square and Capcom games always had "premium" price, now Namco, Sega and others are catching up.
