Please do, I hear it's pretty good indeed, regardless of whether you think other games are good or not.
I already added it to my wishlist. I'm also considering waiting for Lord of the Fallen to come out because it looks much better than Elden Ring as well.
Remnant 2 also just came out and looks like Bloodborne but without the boring parts like zero gun damage. I think I might get that one as well. It's great that other companies are saving gamers from scammers like From Software who only care about releasing disappointing games and then running away with your money.
But Elden Ring improves the whole souls-like feel and adds a lot of QoL improvements like jumping that's not dumb. at first i didn't know how i felt about Torrent(goat? horse thing) but now i enjoy using him, although i will say, he is a crutch through and through, you'll find it very easy to abuse bosses while on horseback.
Weapons and Magic are best in any game so far. and plenty of armor selections. To put it bluntly i've never really needed to change up my armor or weapons in DS1-3 to much once i find the one that works, but here i find it fun to experiment. You could also use any Katana since they're all pretty OP in there own right, Moonveil and River of Blood being the best of them. Bleed is generally what PvE guys go for since it makes the game 10x easier.
Magic is very fun and i got really into it while playing, i've never really cared for the gimmick in the dark souls games and always saw it as more of a hindrance than a boon especially in PvP. they're easily dodged and predictable, but here the magic system is more annoying to deal with than it is easy. you gotta be somewhat careful around people who only use magic.
Lastly before this essay gets any longer, You will run into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in PvP who will buff themselves to oblivion, get the spell or item that removes all buffs and watch them cry and leave.
i honestly don't know how they expected players to beat the endgame bosses without bleed. the bosses have tens of thousands of hp. like when i'm doing 200 damage with a +25 greatsword, but then 4000 damage when the bleed procs.. . seeing as bleed is a % of the enemy total health, they don't see that as an issue?
are bleeds OP or are the enemy hp way too inflated?, like did they really expect someone to chip away 50k ho doing 200 damage per hit whilst the boss can one shot them at any time?
it almost seems like they expected us to use the bleeds and the frostbite status. so i don't feel guilty at all for leaning on it
some of the larger enemies in the endgame areas have thousands of hp and yeah souls games technically want to do away with the "trash mob" concept, making even the weakest enemies a threat,,but it just becomes a chore, spending 5 minutes per enemy, clearing out a section and there's never just 1. if you see some big honking giant tough thing, it's likley that there's gonna be 2-3 more down the hall or around a corner or behind a rock formation up ahead. .(i'm in moghwyns area right now. . dozens of bloody albinos, then like 100 zombies, then 3 sanguine nobles , then 4 giant birds and about 20 dogs. .. )
i'm wielding a +25 bleed claymore in one hand and a +22 frost flamberge in the other. the flamberge has bleed on it by default, and i had a bleed ash on it and realized the bleed ash of war doesn't "add to" the native bleed, it "replaces" it so the sword is became more effective as frost, because it now has both frost and bleed,
i can proc both frostbite and bleed with my attacks and still it's a slog, with the insane amount of hp these things have
Op is just baiting, A+ for effort tho. x)
It sounds ok then. I'm just scared it's gonna be 100% like Bloodborne because it's one of the worst games I've ever played.
I guess I might buy it and then refund if it sucks. If playstation had refunds, I'd probably refund Bloodborne after having played it for 3 minutes. That's how bad it is.
Trick weapons is the most boring part actually because they're practically useless and open you up to get damaged. It shows that From Software can't design good combat systems.
That said, it has the most coherent story of any souls game and is DRIPPING with atmosphere. It takes the horror theme to the next level and when all of it is taken together it's a very strong package. (Except chalice dungeons. No clue why anyone bothers with those)
I suggest you try Bloodborne again when you're a little older. I think a lot of very young people bounce off it. That said, Elden Ring is superior in every way. (But still not for kids)
You must be trolling if you say it's the greatest souls game because Dark Souls 1 and 3 are the only good games that From Software put out. Everything else is garbage.
