ELDEN RING
Why is everything in this game so ugly?
Ugly character design, ugly monster design, ugly armor design, ugly weapon design, ugly lore.

99% of the consumable items are undulating puss sacks. It's pretty bad when a pickled turtle neck is the most appealing edible in the game. Make sure you eat your rotten meat dumplings and octopus ovaries, you're a growing elden lord!

The enemies are living testicles that blow bubbles, silly looking bird-men with attack on titan faces, or a giant rotten worm monster that ♥♥♥♥♥ fire while clipping through the wall. And General Radahn is a cripple grafted to a horse.
Every other character has 300 lines of vague, meaningless dialogue that you'll probably miss because you didn't do a specific ritual on the opposite side of the world, then talk to them, then rest at a grace before talking to them again.

Almost every armor set is ruined by some absurd design choice, like the codpiece+duckfeet+odd proportions on the Banished Knight set. Or it just looks silly but has insane stats like the onion boy set (Lionel's armor).
The lore is all just a bunch of gobbledegook and nonsense that boils down to "everything sucks, but you could make it suck in a slightly different way if you kill everyone and become "elden lord". Who the hell would want to rule over a wasteland full of psychopaths whose main diet consists of sucking blight and slurping the nutrients out of their own oozing blisters?

Fun game tho.

For clarification, I'm not saying the graphics or even the environments are ugly, but that the character designs and lore specifically just put out random gross-out tier "ew look at that" vibes for the sake of it.

You're definitely correct about the armors. Everything is stained in blood or feces or something. Also all the knight sets are ruined by the pringles can size helmets that compress your head into a tube.
I mean, the OP is not entirely wrong. Some of the armour in this game is good design wise but the textures they chose for a lot of them leave a lot to be desired. Why can't we have clean, nice looking armour? smh.

Also, a lot of the helmets ruin the sets, like why does the the Cleanrot armour (I'm using it now) have that awful looking visor? Lets not forget the Gelmir/Cuckoo helmet. Like wth? Lmao.
I agree on the quests. I get that having indicators such as exclamation or question mark is not necessary and I played games without before.

But bruh I was doing the Boc questline again and the first time we meet him he says that he is heading to a cave to fight someone or to hide ( I dont remember). Ok but which cave? South? West? Limgrave? Lyndell?

I have respect for the people who figured it out on their own.

In all honesty . . an "all clean nice loking armor" would not remain like that for long and armor sets in this game are meant to look "used" or "damaged" (or dirt, etc), therefore very rarely you will find anything "clean" or "nice looking".
this is why I am the best ending for this hellhole, kill it with fire.

May it take the world.

You can assume that in reality armors used to be cared for and polished. However, it's normally no use to try and apply that to fantasy settings, and the Lands Between specifically are post-apocalyptic. Even so, the knights in the game wear armor that doesn't look dirty or damaged and give an idea of how everything used to look.

You are hands down the best ending. I applaud you and give you my sanity.

Getting one of those armors you see yours is the same ... (as far as I remember, there are "clean" and "nice looking" ones in game)

Yes, there are :)
Divine order was shattered. Disorder, and the mangled, grotesque mutilations of divine order is what remains and thrives. The Scarlet Rot is the divine disease of an Outer God muscling into what is basically a godless realm, abandoned and without an immune system. There is nothing left in the Lands Between to shape anything holy or beautiful, so you get everything but.
Bout the best I can give you, any slightly serious religion or philosophy gets me banned.
You're wrong. It's beautiful. Wrong. Dislike, unsubscribe.
I honestly don't understand the people saying "game pretty, I take many screenshots, ur dumb".
I didn't even mention the graphics or world in the OP.
Try dumping some runes into reading comprehension.

Okay, then don't say everything is ugly.
I mean its spot on for a world that is decaying and all living poeple are basicly zombies.
