I've had to repeat myself many times over, because I actually don't mind reiterating to those who are interested in discussing the above, so long as they don't come at it sneering and arrogant (or most pathetic of all; Hurt and offended).
I've had at least a couple of points that were sufficiently convincing arguments against my perception of the tarnished being strong when the PC faces Margit and Godrick, cannonically for the first time, but at this point I honestly am tired of rephrasing the same things and most people moved on to talk with me and others about other things.
This is NOT a conversation on gameplay, but the above should hopefully tell you I have no intention of pretending I'm better than you, because I'm not.
the PC isn't overpowered, he just uses tools and actually improves until he can win.
As I see the world is kinda stopped and its not good. The Greater will not look that great overall for the world. First I thought it was Marika stopped things being dead and started killing everything can challenge her power then lost his son and shattering...etc but if anything really want to stop challenging its power its that so called "greater will".
Later we learned from Ranni once you become god the greater will will kinda use you and she don't want that so much she rather kill her body and live in a doll so can escape.
For me now look like Marika want to get rid of the greater will and ready to make sacrifice for it. She is the one control who can live and who should die (or rather jsut stay in the three) as all soul get to the erdthree. She is on your side and keep you alive so you do what you need to and one way or another will reach some change. Most of the others you meet are there since a while and many of them have no free get out from the erdthree card. Most of the demigods and gods already rotten, crazy, plagued weak. Everything is in ruin. This live forever stuff probably going on since a while and the world is just can't cope with it too well. You can die a lot as long as you ready to finish off the three you will live. The moment you stop playing you loose this...
Will see how it change in my head once I finished the game.
I mean what is the ultimate thing that everything is about? Many would say the Elden Ring, it's in the title after all but that's because "The greater will" isn't as cool of a title. Now the greater will of course only cares about "Order". It's not even necessarily relevant how Order is achieved and maintained, just that it is.
And the issue with it all is that the whole Marika family tree is everything but not orderly.
Therefore to achieve order once again, the greater will chooses the tarnished to bring down these demigods and to ultimately restore order and to do that you are blessed by the greater will and are able to become a very powerful warrior and in a way "The champion of the greater will". That's why every ending is in a way a right ending, since one way or another, order is restored even if it's ironically through chaos.
Again, I am not fully into the lore as of yet but that's how I interpret the whole story.
