If you still have problems, look into your temps. The only time I've had artifacts in 25 years of pc gaming is when my hardware is trying to tell me it's giving up the ghost, but I suspect it may also be caused by high temps. If your card runs at like, 90deg, open up your case, give your computer a good cleanup, this should help.
Artifacts might also be caused by improper overclocking, so if you have anything overclocked, I would turn that off. Though if it happens only in Sellia, looks like a case of a broken install. ^^
But it is clearly, that ER still have some problems with optimization. In solo i crashed often enough with "ER was banned from access to GPU" error. Sometimes game crash just before arena PvP match starts (when opponent is found, but match not started yet).
This is not problems with Elden Ring optimization.
Having more information would help me help you. "ER was banned from access to GPU" doesn't sound like the error message you're getting, if I had the exact error message, I might be able to draw conclusions and help you fix it. The second crash might be related to the issue causing the first too.
Like I suggested OP, it might be simply a matter of verifying game files -> reboot -> reverify. Lots of people have had issues with 1.10 and that fixed it for many of them. Updating C++ redistributables fixed it for others. Might be a matter of updating your GPU drivers too.
I barely have any problems myself, performance is pristine and I think I had like, 2 CTD's in the last ~100 hours since I got back to the game. I believe my CTD's are connected to my CPU getting hot, cause it does get hot while playing ER. ;_; New cooling solution on the way.
This game is the First one that is using clean directx 12_0 Code any other game is using fallback Code for 11_1 and 11_0 internally if the directx 12_0 Code failed, elden ring simply cause a access violation because fromsoft is bad at error handling but Shows this way there is a internal problem in Windows and gpu driver connections or communication.
Crashes before PvP match has less impact - only game crashes, not whole PC)
But i will check stuff, that you mentioned, thank you)
It can be true about DirectX 12) And since my PC is not new, there can be problems with these features, I guess)
open command prompt as administrator and run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
after this is finished
sfc /scannow
reinstall/repair c++ redistributables
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
restart windows
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
restart windows
delete shader cache and temporary files with disk cleanup
Delete the gpu driver with DDU test a older driver Version.
This has to be done in one go exactly the way it is written to prevent any possible problem in the connection chain.
