Intelligence is what matters in life
There are so many incants to choose from early on which absolutely wreck face harder than any spell I've used, and the drawback versus them is typically range and efficiency. I recommend exploring incants a bit longer.
You can pyro/incant with high Int.
I feel like a lot of the sorceries I ended up using were actually found mid-game. Also, many early-game sorceries (ex: Crystal Barrage) are too FP-inefficient to use early-game. But they shine late-game.
thats why I was writing mostly fire also by it, you are forced to use incantations that doesen't fit at all to something like pyro or a lightning character until late game, ya beast stuff is great but feels "wrong" as a pyro character, while mage its just all magic and you get the most broken stuff in first two areas
