ELDEN RING
would you say bloodflame is a "pyro" incantations or not really ?
Sooo I am doing a pyro build and I was pretty disappointed that there isn't a normal casual Fire blade spell, I know that you can put fire on the weapon with certain weapon arts and stuff but ya.

I came agross bloodflame and I argue with myself is that really a pyro thing ? it gives only little of fire dmg and it just deals some amount of OP blood dmg with some weapons so it doesen't really feel pyro like to me I have to say.
Everytime I use it I more feel like a blood kinda build and not like a Pyromancer, I just wish they would have gave us normal fire weapon spell

Yes but I feel bad about using it in pvp. There are two ashes of wars in Calied which apply regular fire to your weapon though.

ya but I have other ashes of war I wanna use and it feels like you can close to infuse your weapon with everything besides a fire spell
While Bloodflame does some fire damage, Fire Grease and the Flame Strike AoW + R2 deal more fire damage per hit. Bloodflame's primary use, of course, is to proc bleed. The added flame damage is a nice little bonus.

In short: No, I wouldn't really classify it as a pyromancy. The sigil when using it even indicates that it's a Formless Mother incantation.

Red Hot Whetstone will allow you to give Fire or Flame Art affinity to a weapon even without a fire/flame art ash, so long as it's an ash that doesn't have an elemental affinity of its own.
I'd say yeah to other bloodflame stuff but bloodflame blade feels too much not fire, so I wouldn't recommend using that

Flaming Strike is amazingly fun to use AND works as a weapon buff, you should give it a shot! The two-part attack gives you a lot of options... just using the fire to hit a group of enemies and never using the second attack, using the full combo outside of battle to buff your weapon, using the full combo right in the face of an enemy to stagger them, turning around after the fire attack to hit an enemy behind you after the first one got stunned by the fire...
