Melina's quest line question (the rold route)

I would love if someone can inform me about the rold route area where you go to because melina told me to go there after touching the wall of thorns, i have searched online and its all BS with just instructions on how to get to the area but my question regards if I go to this point is it a no return part of the game? Like if I go there will it force me into a new area where I cant go back because I first want to explore the entire map before I get to a no return point.

It isn't a point of no return, you can teleport to the sites of grace you found when you started the game and up to that point and beyond. Basically, it's like progressing the game the same way you defeated Godrick in Stormveil.

Melina wants you to reach a specific place inside the new area. Some part of the world will change after you do that. So you should explore the map before getting Melina to that specific place. More can't be said without spoiler. You can explore the new area as long as you don't take her where she needs to be / trigger the dialogue with her.
