New to steam.. .can't figure out randomizer

Anyone able to help me out? I got the steam deck for a few reasons but main one being to randomize elden ring. I've beaten it too many times and need this change to keep it exciting.

I've gone to nexus mods and tried following the instructions but its all foreign to me. If it were pc I think I could handle.

I downloaded the randomizer and unzipped. I downloaded mod engine 2 and unzipped. Then I put the randomizer folder into mod engine 2. All on my pc. I can get randomizer to show on my pc. But then I try to copy to steam and steam can't open any apps. I know I'm missing key pieces.

I'm to the point I would pay to have someone walk me through it lol.

So sorry. Let me correct (but first I'll remove my squishy red nose)... I'm not familiar with Linux. I'm doing what I think is right and following instructions on nexus mods while on my windows pc. Then i copy everything to my USB drive and hook it up to steam in desktop mode. I tried to go from there and can't get it to work. Semantics suck. I know.

Aside from extracting the mod files into the appropriate folder, be absolutely sure to follow step #15 or else you'll get banned.

Thanks! I get it.... I ask an incredibly basic question and know that it's annoying to fill up the board with it. BUT I spent hours today trying to find a solid instruction guide. If that link is it, then awesome! I just want to play one of my favorite games in a new way :)
