Sudden and strange loss of FPS (stuttering)
I played for more than 160 hours without problems at 60 fps (RTX 3070), today I open the game and I have heavy fps losses (stuttering)...
I have all the drivers up to date, tried to repair the game files with the steam option, uninstalled and re-downloaded the game, but the problems persist and it's unplayable.
The fps loss is there even if I set the details to minimum (and the video card doesn't work, it stays around 50%...)
The other games work fine, as always.
I don't know what to do anymore and I don't understand what happened...

Thank you for your answer!
Could it be an nvidia driver issue then?
I tried to install the drivers from a previous step but the problem persists... If anyone finds a solution, it's welcome

If you start the game via the Coop mod (You can still play SP). You can download that from Nexus and also use the flawlesswidescreen program. You can then unlock the FPS and a bunch of other things. This seems to fix the stuttering issues for me and make the game more playable. You still get playtime on steam and the achievements so it´s a win win. The only drawback is that you cant matchmake with people as the mod disables the anticheat.
Also, dont use the flawlesswidescreen program on original exe as this will get you banned by the anticheat.

Thanks for your precious suggestions, I'll do some tests tonight, hopefully it works... Thanks again!

Solved: I activated "legacy game compatibility mode" in the bios of my motherboard (MB Asus with I5-12600KF) and the game is back as before. Thanks for the replies!

this e-core stuff does not work properly with this game so yes disable them works mostly.

That board is for Ryzen CPU's which don't have that option or E-Cores, so you're having a different issue.
But if that motherboard has a "Re-Sizeable Bar" or "ReBar"-setting somewhere, you may wanna try disabling that.

Your 30% GPU usage sounds normal depending on your resolution, considering the game's locked at 60FPS anyways. If you've just recently upgraded the GPU, you may experience Elden Ring's notorious shader compilation stutter, since the old shader-cache gets deleted when you re-install GPU drivers. This type of stutter will eventually go away as you keep playing.

If it persists even after an hour or so running around at the same areas, try a clean re-install of the latest GPU driver for your 4070. You can cleanly uninstall your current GPU driver by using DDU[www.guru3d.com]. Make sure to carefully read the instructions.

Re-Sizeable Bar work on AMD CPUS ;-)
about other, clean windows (fresh install) with latest drivers.

Today got better CPU so maybt that is a issue :/

On my MB ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4 (Bios Ver. 2212) the option is in bios menù:
Advanced mode -> Advanced -> CPU Configuration
