some playstyles need higher poise. in ds3 i could get by on hyperarmor, and if hyperarmor was stronger in ER that might be an option, but unfortunately i need a bit of poise to power a playstyle that is aggressive and focuses on lots of baits, swaps and risky moves.

my highest poise is no cape veterans + greathelm, but usually i use banished knight with the cape. banished knight is one of the coolest sets in the game and id still wear it even if poise wasnt an issue. there is a huge lack of just normal armors that look cool, so much is silly or gimmicky, like a whole ass person or giant goat horns or a big fingerprint plastered on the front, or they have super gaudy stuff like hoslows or carian knight. not really my jam. i like banished knight, i like ronin chest, but most armors in the game are not that exiting to me.

Yes, but you are doing it wrong. If someone can incorporate stupid stuff like goat armor in their style and look good, then it's smart and creative. Judge the look as a whole, not the brands people chose.

I RP as a person with the same mentality as the Goblin Slayer, All things must die, best chance for them to die is me to survive, so I will use the strongest anything to survive, so I can deal more damage, and kill more before I go down.

Done... assume everyone who wears high poise sets follow this RP too.

I also assume OP is the kind of player who wears a dress, but has the highest poise possible from other armor pieces, and bull goat, just to say they are the best in the dress.

Got it backwards, buddy. I wear the best looking medium-light armor and then the lightest accessories that fit the look.
