The Witcher 3 is actually easier than Elden Ring, seems to me you not used to it's battle system. You can pretty much become invincible and one shot enemies with the right build in The Witcher 3.
Not to mention The Witcher 3 punishes you for facing enemies under-leveled, you couldn't even get that right.
I can guarantee the dogs in ER are way more annoying than the wolfs in The Witcher 3, where you can easily kill entire packs with no effort, and I say this as someone who completed the game in Death March.
Either way, Souls games are not hard, is all about patience.
To be fair, I dislike Witcher 3 for a lot of reasons, and the combat overall is one of them.
It *can* be good, but mostly difficulty is stupid swarm tactics and tedious "you don't have the proper level equipment" type of difficulty, in way more obvious ways than souls games ever have been.
There's no real nuance to combat, it's easy or stupid unfair in the sense of "we don't know how to adjust difficulty so we just up everything out the wazoo and there you go, 'difficulty'".
Personal opinion to be sure, but most of the difficulty in W3 comes from '♥♥♥♥ You' levels of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and tedium and not thoughtful design at all.
Edit:
Aaaand I just realized this thread is from yet another temporary resident troll, I should pay more attention.
To be fair to myself though, there are so many of these recently that it's hard to keep track and I'm not even trying.
And also to be fair, I responded to what seems to be a genuine question not originating from the OP, so there's that.
I have never heard the Witcher called difficult in combat.
The combat in TW3 is a joke, you can spam roll and fast attack anything to death. The ONLY monsters that ever gave me grief sometimes were the big deer/bear looking thing that's as big as a house and the .. whatever it was in the woods that was like the Ent from Lord of the RIngs' cousin on meth.
So, you said all that to agree with me that ER isn't hard? lmao
lolol ok
Morrowind where your hit chances are purely statistics based ^^
Again, all i can do is put ?????? cause wtf lmao
I would not say TW3 isn't a good game >___>
