Witcher 3 is harder then this game js
As the title states
When on either blood and broken bones or death march, TW3 is soooooo much harder in terms of combat. Fighting even a pack of dogs when slightly under lvled can be extreamly challenging in comparison with ER's low lvl mobs.

ER is still one of my favorite games in the last 20 years, I wouldnt even say TW3 is on my list of "favorite games". I just find it odd how people hyped Fromsoft games as harder then any game ever made when it's not easy but their are quite a few games I can think of that are way harder.

Just wanted to be annoying and give out a pointless statement for a sec. Nbd

So you comparing low level mobs, with high level mobs, and basing your difficulty based on that.

The Witcher 3 is actually easier than Elden Ring, seems to me you not used to it's battle system. You can pretty much become invincible and one shot enemies with the right build in The Witcher 3.

Not to mention The Witcher 3 punishes you for facing enemies under-leveled, you couldn't even get that right.

I can guarantee the dogs in ER are way more annoying than the wolfs in The Witcher 3, where you can easily kill entire packs with no effort, and I say this as someone who completed the game in Death March.

Either way, Souls games are not hard, is all about patience.

is it harder in terms of combat simply because witcher isn't good?

Pretty much, yes.

To be fair, I dislike Witcher 3 for a lot of reasons, and the combat overall is one of them.

It *can* be good, but mostly difficulty is stupid swarm tactics and tedious "you don't have the proper level equipment" type of difficulty, in way more obvious ways than souls games ever have been.

There's no real nuance to combat, it's easy or stupid unfair in the sense of "we don't know how to adjust difficulty so we just up everything out the wazoo and there you go, 'difficulty'".

Personal opinion to be sure, but most of the difficulty in W3 comes from '♥♥♥♥ You' levels of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and tedium and not thoughtful design at all.

Edit:
Aaaand I just realized this thread is from yet another temporary resident troll, I should pay more attention.
To be fair to myself though, there are so many of these recently that it's hard to keep track and I'm not even trying.

And also to be fair, I responded to what seems to be a genuine question not originating from the OP, so there's that.

How difficult is it to complete the entire game including beating Dettlaff with Igni and Quen only?

I have never heard the Witcher called difficult in combat.

Artificial difficulty because Geralt can't stop dancing around in circles.

The only thing TW3 has on Elden Ring (that I can see so far, only 15 or so hours with ER) is TW3 has a decent main quest but spectacular side quests.

The combat in TW3 is a joke, you can spam roll and fast attack anything to death. The ONLY monsters that ever gave me grief sometimes were the big deer/bear looking thing that's as big as a house and the .. whatever it was in the woods that was like the Ent from Lord of the RIngs' cousin on meth.

Real. This is why Witcher 3 is the best game ever made.

Of course fanboys will argue but i really doubt any of you will actually start up TW3 and play on Blood and broken bones and be able to finish it before you would finish ER. ER (to me) is easy af, doesnt make it bad but its not all that hard in comparison to even an older rpg like Morrowind.

So, you said all that to agree with me that ER isn't hard? lmao
