Pure int is good.
Stop relying on crutch weapons like moonveil
with maximum cast speed your carion slicer will be your main melee weapon.
my faith char is at 110 level
60 vigor
30 mind
10 endurance
50 faith
and it does very well with just casting flame take thee and catch flame at extreme speeds
other stats are from starting class
While Azur's gives faster casting speed(slightly more then radagon icon) at a lower FP(20%) penalty.
Going straight through shields, yet doesn't stagger very well. You'll be trading more than anything.
Magic Claymore: 685 vs Dark Moon GS: 676
Magic Uchigatana: 592 vs Moonveil: 587
Magic Bandit's CS: 592 vs Wing of Astel: 509
Weird.
If you're going pure int, there are very few options, but my favorites tend to be the Wing of Astel, a simple magic-infused Longsword or other straight sword, or a Clayman's Harpoon. Those are great int weapons.
Vig: 35
Mind: 50
Str: 10
Dex: 17
Int: 77
(Others unchanged.)
Head: Karolos Head (+3 Int for 80)

Graven-School
Radagon's Icon

Magic Imbued Katar
you can play low hp only if you are master at the game and can dodge anything.
Edit: Not to mention Renalla's Full Moon unlocks all the way at 70, so the caps feel especially potent for mages
best possible class is the one with 60 vigor if you are not the guy who can go through the game without gettin hit. When i fight in arena, alot of my duels end in tradin where i have 1-50 hp left and opponent is dead because he didnt have hp talisman or didnt level vigor;P
and here we come to one of the problems of the new souls game, casters do not enter the meta well because they need 1 more attribute than brute force class
id suggest you backup your save now with 130 level mage, then level it to 170 and see which performs better. I was tellin ppl on those forums 125 is meta for brutes only with no mind, noone believed me. Casters meta is 170
btw if you do not pvp it doesnt matter how much vigor you got over 40, just dont die the first second you are in the bossroom as cooperator
