I prioritize 60 at all times, even though it's not possible since the open world is filled with some laggy areas. But 45? Long as you're fine with it it's ok, even Bloodborne is 30 on ps4.

Anything above 30fps is playable imo

This.
I mean, if you dont have severe stuttering. And this game stutter a lot depending of your gear combination.
The preference is always 60 or above, but anything above 30 is totally playable.

My rig sadly runs at that in a few areas and its fine

If the framerate is stable - which is the most important thing in action-games, then you should be okay even with 30 fps.
Surely it's a worse experience in general, and you will be punished harder, but I suppose it's better than not playing at all, no?

I would suggest to work around with game settings, to improve the performance.
Maybe this video will help you (might be a bit outdated tho): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EtcrUrsl38

Moving a game to SSD and forcing its process to High Priority, gave me the biggest performance boost tbh; pretty much nivelating all stuttering.

If you are on Maximum quality try reducing shadows and volumetric to High for more FPS.

60 solid at all time, how old is everyones pc? 5?
45 isnt aweful if you grew up on consoles.
If you play with a controller it should feel smooth tbh.

If above 30 you're fine.

If you play other games at 60fps your eyes will need a couple of minutes to acclimatize to lower fps. Had this experience while playing ds3 on PC at 60 and Bloodborne at 30.

A couple areas I would be concerned for you if you deal with low fps in general open world areas: Stormhill in Limgrave, I have a pretty beefy pc and the wind effects there even tank my frames down noticeably. And Farum Azula, the background effect can at times cause some FPS issues for me, but less than Stormhill. I would suggest running/riding up to Stormhill (not unreasonable to get there at start of game) and seeing if you can stand those frames cause I don't think it gets worse anywhere else in the game.

Thanks for the feedback!

As long as the framerate isn't jumping up and down, 45 is perfectly fine IMO. I did play Ocarina of Time on the N64, tho...

I have the game capped at 45, beat it twice.

I think what is playable is up to each specific person. Some would definitely consider that playable, some wouldn't.

In my memories, it runs at 60 FPS.
