Tips for Elden Beast

I have defeated every major boss except this one, can you give me any tips?
I find myself always running toward it without being able to hit it (i am using a dex/arc build with rivers of blood and am not using spirit ashes nor summons).

Get the Hand of Malenia Katana and swap to it for elden beast as Waterfowl dance can shred through large bosses with ease make sure to have the Hailgdrake tailisman +2 and enough faith to cast divine lords fortification also make sure to have armor with good holy damage negation like the veteran's armor set.

IMO the best damage you can deal against Elden Beast is the "Black Flame Tornado" Ash of War (e.g. usable on twinblades for you dex build). It deals tremendous damage to this boss and makes the fight almost laughably easy.

A safe attack window is after the three-sword-swing combo that allows you to execute the full tornado sequence.

Further, if the beast floats up in the air to produce the rings on the floor, look at where the head of the boss is pointing. If you run in this general direction, you will end up very close to where the boss re-emerges. This safes some legwork.

Equip your most powerful haligdrake (holy defense) talisman. Add your best Pearldrake Talisman as well.

If you're really stuck on it, I'd recommend running faith and spamming Pest Threads. Its pure physical damage and you can shred a ton of EB's health at the start if you run behind it while its using the fire breath attack

Aside from that, you can avoid a lot of its attacks by clinging to its sides. That can be a bit frustrating to do since it has a habit of suddenly moving to the other side of the battlefield, but yeah
