Αναφορά προβλήματος μετάφρασης
Practice dodging on easier enemies. Particularly learn to use I-frames during a roll to literally phase through attacks.
If you are using a shield, get a decent medium and practice. Learn what's safe to block, and what is best avoided. You CAN block forever if you have the right damage resistance for a particular enemy and manage your stamina appropriately. Getting guard broken is fine and ideal if it prevents an otherwise one-shot move with a long recovery.
I would additionally recommend reading the fextralife wiki pages on how stats, armor, weapons, and magic work. It doesn't sound like you've played a souls-like before and are trying to play this like a traditional rpg
first off, it's very normal that you stuck at limgrave after 12 hours. this is a huge game. and you are probably right about that wrong decision thing, i mean the prophet. if i were you, i would restart the game as a vagabond, bandit, warrior, samurai or confessor.
even if you don't restart, my advices are same.
after exploring the limgrave go to the weeping peninsula, it's in south of limgrave.
make your choice about your build, dex or str and faith or int and melee or ranged.
if you decide to use magic, faith or int, use it as a support. my advice is don't go pure ranged
clear every dungeon you see
don't worry about your gear, you will find your ultimate gear at mid game or late game
leveling up is just one step. if you get use to boss you're fighting your level's only duty will be speeding things up.
my ultimate advice about bossfights: don't try one thing twice. for ex: if you roll back and boss's attack still hits you next time roll his back. you will see the difference.
look for a huge opening, almost every boss has it. he will make his sloooow move and stay there for a while, hit him when he does it and watch your distance.
if you can't beat the boss by yourself, don't be ashamed to get help from others, just summon another player or use your spirit summon.
if you're using a standart weapon which upgrades by a smithing stone, not somber smithing stone, it's max level is +25. so don't feel bad about your bad decision on your weapon upgrading. mines are very important, look for them, you will find lots of smithing stones in there.
if you think game is too hard for you remember this: this game HAS a easy mod. BLEED. i've seen people, er was their first souls-like game and they finished the game with bleed. you can find a uchigatana in deathtouched catacombs in limgrave or start as a samurai (samurai's starting weapon is uchigatana)
FAT ROLL IS BAD: your roll is far more important than your armor. take of that armor and you will do better. if you improve your endurance you will be able to wear those heavy armors without trouble in time.
There really is no secret sauce besides just trial and error with these games. Pick a play style you’re comfortable with and learn it. 12 hours isn’t much, especially if you’re new.
Have you explored the area to the south as well ( Weeping Peninsula).
You can make your prophet to a str. / faith build, that works well, no need to regret your choices.
And if you really don't like it after 50 hours or so, there will be a way to respec your stats.
Yes, besides your incantations you need some good melee weapons as well.
Note: weapons deal different kind of damage, and when one weapon seems to be bad against a certain boss, try another weapon. Example: chose strike damage against miners and maybe slash damage+ bleed or fire against Rune Bears.
Some good weapons to find in early game I can recommend:
- Morning Star ( strike), when you use the Ash of War " Sacred Blade" on it, it's also great for fighting all skeletons.
- Claymore ( one of the best allround weapons, especially for new players, to find in Castle Morne)
- Uchigatana ( slash + bleed, put Bloody Slash on it).
I have started several times as a Prophet in my game, imo one of the best starting classes. Just give it some more time.
And yes, your fire balls are a bit weak at begin. You can deal more damage with Fire Pots for now, use them too. And don't worry, as you progress through the game you'll become much stronger.
Btw: don't listen to "speedrunners" with 40 hours, pretty sure they missed a lot and skipped half of the content. Many players spend about 200 hours on first playthrough when playing blind and searching for secrets and NPC quests.
Than you very much for your advice !
Thank you!
you're welcome, good luck and have fun!
Yes, I have been to the south. I haven't managed any dungeon so far. The same issue as always, I get to the boss but the boss is too fast. Thanks for your advice nevertheless
but now i am overpowered i can 1 shot almost anything except bosses.
I pretty much only leveled my faith since i knew thats the type of magic guy i wanted to be, i had to have faith to get threw many bosses and enemies.
i pretty much tried to explore every nook and cranny i could before i even went for the first boss, but still i only leveled my faith no vigor only faith.
I felt like you do, i was at a panic because pretty much any enemy, any boss can 1 shot me.
I had to learn to roll, lots of rolling and trying to jump on top/behind stuff to get the npcs stuck. I used the golden signs to summon help of the ashes, you can level up the ashes too the wolfs are weak so i never used them i found better ones the more i explored.
I did have a weapon on my other hand that i would only use for the skill magic special it scaled with faith so it was pretty strong too.
a lot of level felt like i just had to memorize everything and do a perfect run, then level my damage.
you still haven't wasted anything since you can just go to another area and level up some more, i would focus on your damage stat and health.
if you cant beat a boss step back and go somewhere else for a bit, you can always keep leveling

But dont spoil your experience by watching YouTube or crawling through guides -> If you know whats coming it will ruin it. Dont listen to people dictating how to play the game, it will often lead to a very shallow gaming experience.
"Go there and do that, than this Boss will spawn and the weakness of him is this and that".
Its better to engage it in your own way. And then, if you finally got the grip these Soulsgames will open up so huge that you wont be playing anything else - atleast for a certain time.
