invader giving runes?

I am not sure about this. My friend and I were invaded but the invader left me several very large runes in quantities of 99. Of course I was wondering what he was leaving and picked them up. Then I got to thinking is this ok? I mean... if it is ok, thank you very much, but is this something that can get me banned from play? If so what can I do? I havent saved the game since this happened.

You'll be fine. It used to be an issue when people could add runes through a cheat engine, but as far as I know, any cheat engine items cannot be traded anymore, so any runes they drop you are legit and won't get you in trouble whatsoever.

Some people just have an abundance of items from playing a lot and don't need them, so they pass them on.
