Invasions are not an acceptable game mechanic
An invader enters your world and expects you to fight their pvp optomized ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with your straight sword and shield you starrted the game with? Not only is alt-f4 morally acceptable here, it should be expected. Tired of rage msgs mad that I didn't 1v1 their instakill garbage they copied from a youtube montage. Anyone who adds me just to claim the ganks they've suffered through justify noob hunting is getting blocked

Whatever gives the player the most enjoyment is the correct way to play the game. (Unless it's cheating)

I personally have no issues with people who want to use the mod, because I'm pretty sure the people who don't use it outnumber those who do.

I remember the big argument against is was that PvP will die, but I'm fairly sure a majority of players understand and accept that being invaded is a thing.
A good number of people who use seemless co-op weren't in the PVP pool to begin with.

People get toxic and annoyed at these posts because they happen literally every single day, and instead of learning how to get better at the game, they complain about the "bad mechanic" on the forums. They fail to understand that this is a mechanic that is not going to change, and was created to be IN THEIR OWN FAVOR anyway. It's ALWAYS a 2v1, sometimes even a 3v1. If they can't win at that point, they have no right to complain whatsoever about being invaded.
Even if it's in their own favor it still doesn't mean it's gonna be fun to them. Them not wanting to improve in something they don't even like it's a totally ok thing, nothing to be ashamed of and give no valid reason to get that toxic.

Just say "download seamless" or do not say anything if you don't have anything relevant to say

What I can not accept is how those who decide to use the mod can still invade other people and partake in PVP activities.

Personally, it's more because they make me tilt in-game when they pull low IQ moves during invasions. I see people who play like that all the time and it's preventable 99% of the time.

The only real technical issue directly to do with multiplayer is lag from other players and that's an issue in any game. The matchmaking could be better for sure.

Everything else can be answered with "if you don't like pvp, play offline, play the mod, or play a different game"

Just cause you don't like it doesn't mean anything other than you don't like it
We have exactly the same opinion: you have literally said what I think people should only say when they read about someone not liking pvp

To tell me that I should just say "download seamless" or don't say anything is the same as me saying "either get better or don't complain".

I have every right to tell them to stop complaining if they have the right to whine on forums about something they don't understand.

Ultimately, this issue comes down to people who are simply not the target audience of this game not liking a certain mechanic. Which is fine. I don't love all the mechanics of every game I play.

But that's like me playing, I dont know, say, Stardew Valley, but then complaining I can't build buildings like in Sim City or have the social interactions like in The Sims.

Yes, the games could be similar in some way, but if I absolutely want those mechanics and I'm playing Stardew Valley, then I'm not the person Stardew Valley was aimed at, so I don't really have the right to criticize the lack of certain things, or how certain things work.

If you are not the target audience of a pretty niche game, you do not have the right to complain about mechanics that you simply do not understand.

It is correct, they're not doing anything to ruin anyone else experience, they're having a more fun (to them) experience and that's a way for saying to from "we don't like your choice, this other choice, in our opinion, is better"

And that's totally fine, but it is not something that should be implemented in to the game itself, because it's literally not how it was designed to be played. Being invaded has ALWAYS been a core mechanic in the soulsbornring series, and that shouldn't change.
Imo it should have been an option, imo people should choose if they're gonna be invaded or not. After all such choice wouldn't have brough any downside to the game itself

They DO make the choice. I dont understand why you cant wrap your head around this.

The game is simply not meant to be played in a seamless co-op way. They literally said the point of invading people doing co-op was added challenge so they can't blow through the game. That's the explanation. That's what the devs said. That's why it's NOT an option.

I don't understand what's so difficult to grasp. This was a decision the devs made. It doesn't matter what people think about it. This is how they intended it to be played.

People don't have to agree with the dev's intentions.

Yes, but no, you're totally wrong. I'd bet my hand that we'd have much less complainer if pvp (or multiplayer experience in general) was decently optimized. As I already said, pvp has issues that, unlike pve, cannot afford for being good

If the discussion could rely on the "target" argument then the targets of this game should be people who like bad optimized multiplayer experience, if this was the case then we'd have someone with really bad marketing skills since I don't believe that there are players looking for such a thing

As someone stated in this post, i think it was, it's hard to take the dude at a sushi restaurant who's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that he can't get a pizza seriously.

and I already said that I agree that the way matching works sucks, because it allows for twinking and laggy connections.

I'm specifically talking about people who don't like being invaded because they cant win and just complain, which is what 99% of these posts are about.

Jesus, there should have been a choice between co-op and co-op + invasion in the vanilla game.

A mod cannot save a dev's game design choice. If I judge a game, I judge it vanilla, without considering mods (otherwise it'd be impossible to judge Skyrim, don't you agree?)
