I do have to mention I keep a backup of my system so even if I would get a virus I can recover in less then 30 min.
so much this. you probably don't need another antivirus unless you're more likely to be the target of attacks for some reason. and even then, avast would probably not be the best choice...
Hell, actual hackers actually prefer users with an AV as AVs need a good chunk of permissions to use their functions. A hacker then just has to get into your AV, which is significantly easier.
Currently, only malwarebytes is a recommended program (free version) if you don't heavily mod your browser wih noscript and such.
it's definitly not avast.. i have nearly all avast upgrades constantly running in the back ground on high priority and it has never caused a problem in this or any game.
do not turn off your anti virus to play a game ever.
They use a outdated methode for runtime analysis and a outdated background service setting that is incompatible with software and games that use the secure access features and the secure memory features of windows 10 and 11.
